  1. It's been ruled all ISP's have follow suit. It's being fought out in the courts.
  2. They voted no to AV, not no to electoral reform. And that campaign was ridiculous and unfair as well. But anyways, it is hardly relevant to the question I asked TDD, as it was directed to him personally.
  3. I don't think it is that easy to get hold on a Gun though. It's not really comparable. If I wanted to get a Gun, I wouldn't know where to start or where to go. If I wanted to go and download an illegal copy of a film, I could do that in about 30 seconds, regardless of whether TPB or any other torrent search engine site is up or not.
  4. It's been a long night
  5. People aren't stupid, they just don't vote on policy HERE'S A STORY OF PEOPLE'S MOTIVATIONS: I know someone who told me they wanted to vote BNP because their dad did and he got a card, and they wanted a card as well. We need some re-engagement in British politics to get people excited again!
  6. Good for you. Will you join me in my tirade to change the unfair voting system that is FPTP then?
  7. Oh I agree with you, but you do come on here and preach a lot about stuff. I just thought it'd be something someone like you would know. What do you think of a Presidential system if you just vote for the PM? It'd allow the HoC a bit more independence, no?
  8. It's very poor given how TDD debates on here. I would have thought he were more knowledgeable.
  9. Exactly, Pirate Bay is just a search engine. It doesn't hold the torrents. It's just as easy to find the torrents on Google as it is TPB, just the TPB is more specialised. This move does nothing to treat the problem.
  10. It won't change anything. All this will lead to is opening the door for a big firewall on the internet. I guarantee other sites will pop up, in fact TPB is just one site of hundreds and it is only a search engine. The way to deal with this isn't blocking the symptoms, but attacking the cause which is an attitude problem combined with the fact that a lot of media stuff is too expensive. Anyone been to the cinema recently and seen how much is costs?! Gone up extortionately in the past few years.
  11. Not at all, I'm just saying he uses his personality to mask his politics. It's hardly revolutionary analysis of this contest.
  12. He's no worse than Cameron(who still hasn't won a general election). You could very well see a Labour-led coalition in 2015.
  13. I wasn't using right wing in the Marie Le Pen sense. I was talking economically. Though Boris Johnson in the past has had to apologise for racist comments he has made, though I don't believe he is racist... just a very high tendency to say stupid stupid things. Don't be fooled by that looseness though and look at the policy behind and he is very right wing.
  14. It wasn't so bad for the poor old Lib Dems, hence why they aren't as sad as last year. Their vote share held up at 16%(that'd be 39 seats at the next general election compared to 57 now), and in many places they performed well, just look at Eastleigh where they trashed the opposition and Portsmouth where gains were made. It's not good, but it certainly doesn't indicate electoral wipeout in 2015. All they need to do is concentrate on areas which they already had MPs to consolidate seats. Though tbh, if these results indicate anything for the future, it is probably a less fractured left wing vote which the tories have enjoyed for years. This is very bad news for the conservative party as it could mean the end of their traditional dominance at the polls, especially if UKIP rise.
  15. That would be horrific.
  16. Boris is all show and no action. He's an absolute failure and very right wing, which he expertly hides with his fool act. Some of my friends voted for Labour in everything else, but then Boris in the mayoral election, which I don't really understand given the difference in the policy. All Boris has done is fool around, get the 50p tax rate lowered, wasted £11m on 8 vanity buses and almost screw up a cycling project which was Ken's idea in the first place. Neither choice was incredible, but Ken has done a lot for London and has had a proven record on transport.
  17. Lib Dems doing well in Eastleigh: http://www.eastleigh.gov.uk/the-council/elections-and-voting/borough-elections/2012-borough-election-results.aspx
  18. Not good for Lib Dems, and first indications for Ken in London not very good either. Early days though.
  19. Warsi first gaff of the night saying there is an overlap between UKIP and the BNP, and then Dimbleby pointing out many ex-Tories are now UKIP. Woops.
  20. Yep, what I said does count as a spoilt ballot, but I just thought it was a better way of doing it than ticking all the boxes And I agree with you. FPTP needs to go. I think AMS, STV and SV all need to be looked at for the national system.
  21. I've always wondered how many people would tick it if it was there.
  22. I'm stoked. Staying up all night.
  23. Or write in an extra box 'None of the above' and tick that.
  24. Go spoil your ballot then!
  25. Can't possibly be a nothing article because it praises Saints.
