Well, Winchester was scandal based. Romsey was a marginal and the Tory vote went up nationwide, a lot of lib dem constituencies withstood this or even had a slight increase in vote itself. Sandra Gidley was a good MP though, I met her and she seemed like a decent hard working person and certainly not in it for some sort of power drive. And I was talking about post-coalition elections, i.e 2011 locals where Lib Dem vote largely held up in the south. The Lib Dem in my local ward was elected with an increased majority!

Interesting to note at last years locals; lib dems held up in the south and it was only really the north they had problems(anti-tory vote). As long as they can hold up in the south west and north scotland come 2015, they shouldn't have the disasters that many predict.

Yougov does give the Lib Dems extremely low support. Most over polls put them on 11-15%. I predict the libs will get about 15-17% in 2015, they always dip between elections. What matters is that the support they keep is in their constituency seats, so they must all work hard to appeal as individual MPs, as the party banner won't be enough. They'll probably still have 30-40 seats come 2015. UKIP won't get any seats, opinion polls can be a bit like by-elections sometimes and it's easy to tick the box, but it'll be different come election time when people are in that booth. They will flock back to the tories, and you Dune better hope they do or Labour will come in with a 100+ majority.

I don't know if he is insane though. Psychiatrists have assessed him and said not. And he doesn't appear particularly insane. I think he is just ****ing evil and that is that. Too easy just to say he is insane, it almosts gives him an excuse. A shame really, but I guess that is what happens when a big shopping centre opens. Somewhere has got to go down. It seemed to be doing alright until recently, had built itself up an alright alternative shop niche, but a lot of them seem to have disappeared recently. And Shakeaway left to go to the Marlands(glad to see they dropped the rename, did anyone ever actually call it the Mall or whatever it was?!). And the Internet Café isn't really a draw anymore due to the internets availability. It just hasn't got much going for it anymore.
