  1. Their policy set is pretty similar to the BNP. And 'pretty extreme' lets them off the hook big time. We shouldn't put up with it.
  2. He has always been a radical, he's quite philosophical as well and you won't find many scientists who agreed with him. And he hasn't said he is wrong, merely that his statements of how quickly it will occur were wrong. We should welcome that scientists are willing to adjust their views when they see evidence to the contrary. However, as I said, most scientists ever took his stance. The consensus was different and this article is part of an agenda to try and hush down the seriousness of the situation we could find ourselves in within my lifetime. Now, if you have evidence to prove the greenhouse effect is wrong, please write your scientific paper and submit it to a journal for peer review before collecting your Nobel prize.
  3. Your point? The Greenhouse Effect is fact. Therefore, Global Warming caused by man made Greenhouse gases is fact.
  4. Of course, a lot of it will be cross over between the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats... because there is a lot of cross over between our big 3 parties. They try to disguise it with rhetoric, but yes, they have done very well for a party which obtained 23% to the tories 36%. I was ****ed off with Tuition Fees as well, massively, and so were lots of elected Lib Dems, but it's a coalition, and without it, it would probably be a Tory majority come Oct 2010 so I guess this arrangement is better than what could have been.
  5. But if you are a Liberal Democrat, then surely you believe in PR, so surely you have to expect Coalition government. Because of that, then we have to expect some compromise. 75% of the Lib Dem manifesto has been put in place(source: a UCL study). Yes, there have been some big omissions on Tuition Fees and what not, but if you look at Tax Allowances, Pupil Premium and hopefully(and about time to) Lord's reform. The NHS Bill is changed beyond recognition and maybe over areas of policies are not the policies the Tories wanted. It's a hell of a lot better than not being a coalition and the Tories getting a majority later that year. I'm willing to wait until 2015 to survey it then.
  6. I don't think Mr. Farage will want to be compared to the likes of Le Pen and co.
  7. That times have moved on and that most people aren't Old Labours revisionist socialism or Thatchers New Right. Centrism.
  8. Game on.
  9. And we will get round to kicking him out. In fact, the process of *actually* kicking him out would have already begun if not for Theresa May's incompetence. No law change is needed, just a better Home Secretary. Can you imagine Ken Clarke or William Hague making that cock up? I think not. It's unacceptable and she should go.
  10. And do we want to be like Russia? No, I'm glad our government abides by the law.
  11. I don't think so. I don't think the law, which is perfectly sufficient in 99.9% of cases needs to be changed for what is basically a rarity. It's just like when they banned protest in Parliament Square just because they were ****ed off with Brian Haw. Using a sledgehammer to crack a nut rarely works out okay.
  12. The ECHR isn't part of the EU, it's the council of Europe. It has 47 members including Switzerland and Russia. I don't see why people are suddenly rushing for the government not to abide by the law. It might be convenient now, but later on it could lead to bad consequences.
  13. I agree, obviously. But you could say that about anything. Any criminal or deportation etc the Law has to be abided by.
  14. The law is sufficient at the moment and he would be on his way to Jordan soon enough if not for May's cock up.
  15. I agree. It's her responsibility to make sure she has interpreted the law correctly. Instead, as the deadline passed, she was at a ****-up. Sack her. It's unacceptable.
  16. It is our law though because the 1998 HR's act built it into our law.
  17. We can't just ignore the law. The only reason he is going to be out for so long now is because we cocked up on the law ourselves thanks to our wonderful Home Secretary. If we start making exceptions to the law, it is a slippery slope. He'll be deported, and as I have said it's taken long enough already, but we have to go through the right hoops(though there are more hoops now thanks to May).
  18. We'll get round to it, it just takes time, too long in this case. But we can't alter the law for one special case as we will only regret it later. As for Theresa May, I've always said she is a weak link and she has proved herself incompetent again. She should resign.
  19. I did it.
  20. If there is going to be a pitch invasion, best to do it at our own ground versus Coventry!
  21. Well, I thought 85 would be enough from my calculations about half way through the season... just 2 more points to put it beyond doubt though.
  22. Damnit. Goal difference :/
  23. If Bristol can just hold on!
  24. I wonder how much Merrington is paid.
  25. Oh dear, we are singing top of the league when we aren't. FFS sky news!
