How would you feel if it were to suddenly be announced we were to play in Blue as part of a re-branding exercise to better appeal to a foreign market. In fact, I recall a similar story as an April Fools on the SFC website many a year ago and there was quite the reaction from those who were fooled.

If I recall from one of the summaries from the Cortese dinners, he was unhappy with the current website deal and was just waiting for it to run out before going elsewhere.

Kelvin has earned his chance. See how it goes, and if it is disastrous by Christmas, bring someone in with a view to slowly replacing him.

There should be a Matt Le Tissier section, and then a non Matt le Tissier section...

Teams like Stoke, Fulham and Everton have done well to establish themselves as decent Premier League clubs, occasionally flirting with the bigger time, but overall just very stable. I think that would be a good place to be in 5 years time. They are ridiculously big spenders either. Just look at Everton, an example of where a well run club with a great manager can get to without spending ridiculously.

Well Ken had the better speech, not that it matters. Whatever you say about him and his politics, he does genuinely care.

Damn. So close, 60,000 votes and way more than that in wasted 2nd preferences.

I've never agreed more with you.

Oh, he says what he likes. But my point is the fool act is very valuable for him in gaining votes from elsewhere than the traditional base that he would normally get. I for example know people who have voted Boris today, and Labour everywhere else just because they think Boris is a laugh/funny, and nothing to do with policy.

How such a lightweight such as Warsi is Co-Chairman is beyond me. She consistently gets showed up and is very lacklustre in debate.

The blundering and gaffing and being a fool is all an act. He is a very clever man and smooth operator.
-
Cheers for clearing that up.

Why does that make him an odious bloke? If it is sufficiently close as seems to be indicated, it's perfectly within his rights.

A lot of life sentences are life I thought with eligibility for parole after a given amount of time. And for the worst crimes we do have life sentences meaning life.

That's quite worrying that they can just suddenly find 2 extra boxes they missed.

I don't know. If he lost, you can bet he'd be back in the HoC ASAP and causing havoc. If he wins, it gives Cameron 4 more years.
-
I expect you're right, though it isn't quite tied up yet. Much closer race than anticipated. Cameron must have been sweating tonight. An unemployed Boris is his worst nightmare.
-
It's called a life sentence. And it really is an absolutely appalling attack. I hope they catch the man/woman swiftly so justice can be done.

We did not have a vote on PR last year. We had a vote to move from one majoritarian system to another.

Yer, but if you steal a car, it's outside in the public and involves taking something which is a possession you can hold and is visibly someone else's. -
Prof Curtice pointed out that even with boundary changes, it doesn't change much because of labour voting patterns. Only answer: end FPTP.

Professor John Curtice absolutely destroying FPTP as a system.
