It does seem a bit extreme, and from my own work and from what you lot have just said, it doesn't strike me as impossible to sack someone who is just lazy at the moment. People have been sacked where I work for the very same(I believe it is 2 warnings then you are out), though apparently there can be a lot of red tape involved in the actual sacking, so maybe there can be a way of reducing that a bit as opposed to just allowing sacking without reason. Good to see a bit of Liberal Democrat influence at work in the coalition though.

Now we the ups/downs are sorted, you predictions for next season

It's a tough one... and certainly in the first season, there is a certain tradition of promoted clubs doing well. It's the so called 'second season syndrome' we need to worry about. As such, I don't think we'll get relegated. I think with the right incoming players, while keeping the decent backbone of our championship squad in action we could end up doing quite well. I think 12th or 13th. -
Thing is he isn't really 3rd choice or whatever anyways. We'd get in an emergency loan before using him.

Men's football semi final at Wembley. Could be interesting.

Absolutely brilliant. Poor Harry. LOL.

We should get in someone young who can take over from kelvin at some point.

Summer 2012 HCDAJFU Thread - Premier League Special Edition

My source tells me they have enquired recently. Could be from last year maybe. Maybe they think he has improved since last year which he has in my opinion. We will want premier league money though. I was told Liverpool enquired too but don't know whether to believe that or not. -

Everton have enquired about Lambert among other top 10 prem clubs. -
Decimal points are our friend.

I sincerely hope this is a joke

What do you mean by fractured council?

So where did everyone end up after the Coventry game?

On the pitch, and then out on the town. Good night, even if I was a bit loose with my wallet. But hey, promotion to the premier league doesn't happen every day! -
Always one step ahead.

In your opinion.

We always get so many plums it's hard to know what to do with them, though we don't usually get them until late summer. They are lovely straight off the tree.

The Euro in itself was a sound project and worked well during prosperous times. It is just a victim of A. A world financial crisis and B. Not sticking to its own rules by letting a country like Greece in. However, I, myself, never wanted to join the Euro. I'll review that in 5 years time.
-
Just been announced that Greece IS heading for new elections... so there won't be a fast recovery soon as everything is still up in the air.

An 'expert' on the TV the other day said for the best exchange rate, it's worth just to keep waiting as he suspects it'll just fall more and more as the summer roles on right down to a low of €1.30 to the pound. I'm certainly getting a lot more Euro for my pound than when I last needed Euros in September. Sainsbury's seem to have the best rates from when I was looking around last week.

The number of active members is now 2700ish. I remember it being higher than that in past, but maybe those members engage more with the site, who knows. Still a pretty decent number of people for an online forum though. I like it to be busy so something is always happening/changing, but not too busy so that you can't keep track of anything.

Not at all. I'm just saying there isn't really any persecution of straight people. And I think heterosexuals should be allowed to have a civil partnership.
-
That is an excellent point.
-
Also to compare gay and straight people in persecution is stupid. Straight people as a 'group' have never suffered because they are straight. Gay people have been consistently hunted down and persecuted all over the world.
-
In not quite so extreme words, because straight people already have access to Marriage... I agree with you, there should be marriage for all, or access to civil partnerships and marriage for all. In fact, there are straight people in association with gay rights groups fighting for this already. However, you have still failed to come up with a convincing argument why homosexuals should not be allowed to marry. May I suggest that this is because there aren't any.
-
Indeed, it is the same legally. But semantics are important in my opinion, and most gay people I know express this to me. It's just basic equality really. Everyone has the chance to access the same stuff.
