I used to be internet explorer, but for obvious reasons I switched to Firefox which at the time was miles ahead in terms of speed and UI. Then for some reason Firefox became ultra slow and used **** tonnes of memory after an update I think. Switched to Chrome and not looked back. The best I've used ever and the search bar thing is extremely helpful, though firefox's search by page name was just as good, if not better... but Chrome is faster. Really must have a look at IE9 at some point though. It looks like they have just copied Chrome. I think the whole browser wars stuff and competition was pretty good all in all. Internet Explorer was so so bad and needed a kick up the arse.

I doubt we spent £7m on a striker to warm the bench. Expect JR to start along side Lambert(who has earnt his chance) with Sharpe and Lee as backup. I think we are sorted for strikers now. 4 very decent strikers.

Can't see China doing anything stupid though. Globalised capitalism means you don't need to wage wars for world dominance anymore, but have milatary power does allow you threaten others and wage smaller wars to further your interests. I don't trust Iran though, but I don't know what we can do about it. The Middle East is as unstable as it comes at the moment. An attack on Iran could lead to WW3.

You make valid points! I am guilty of seeing it through the prism of the current system, but I really do not see a global change happening soon, the big players wouldn't allow it. I could be wrong, but if I'm not this problem has to be solved within the current system. But if the current system is defunct as you argue, then what can we really do? We need capitalism, but a new capitalism. Capitalism is the best system, but it's also very flexible and can evolve. More regulation on certain sectors which were allowed to get madly out of control in the current system would go a long way. And you're right, the EU has a hugely versatile economy and it's massive too. On the scale of the USA.

I really don't think there is much that can be done at the moment to affect anything much. In this world of global capitalism, and the decline of Britain from superpower to regional player, there isn't much we can do to influence the economy in general, especially in a worldwide recession. Yes, we can have policies which make it easier for people and the country in general, but I don't think Labour in power would have made too much difference to anything. I do think what we can do though is introduce something new to ease the pain, and also try to influence on the world stage(which is what actually matters) where we can, i.e in Europe.

I don't think how generous you are is based on your political leaning! Some of the worlds biggest philanthropists(like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet) are left wing, and many are also right wing. Let's just be friends... coalition?

Though to be honest the Samsung Galaxy SIII looks very very good. I imagine both is and 5 will be good in their own ways. iOS 6 looks like a big improvement though.

They will announce the iPhone in its own event in a few weeks time. They did it like this in previous years I believe.

Finally. Proper Siri for UK users!

What's your analysis of this article? http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2012/jun/08/why-uk-no-longer-superpower

Some Lib Dems did, as did some Labour people. Obviously the conservatives didn't, but that is more to do with their general anti European feelings than any thought through reasons why the euro might not work fiscally.
-
No, it was definitely more than that. Though obviously, the pendulum has swung the other way now.
-
The Euro is not working at the moment because they failed to follow their own rules. It will come out of this much stronger(and probably smaller), because they will have learnt their lesson the hard way and will be much more careful. It was only a few years ago I remember people going on about how amazing the Euro was and how we should join it because it was doing so well. Just goes to show how quickly things change, and can change either way.
-
And may I also add that countries like Germany were quite happy to lend lots to Greece and co.
-
I hope you'll be paying homage to Gordon Brown then The Euro was ruined because they didn't follow their own rules and put political ambition and speed ahead of financial sense. I predict that after this if there is indeed a breakup of a Euro, there will be a Euro 2.0 where they do follow their own rules and only let countries in when they are ready. The Euro will come out much much stronger and perhaps when the time is right we may end up joining it provided we don't vote to get out in any referendum. It's a bit harsh to solely blame the Euro though, we do have an international crisis on and Greece would have overspent like crazy with or without the Euro, and that would have led to contagion in exactly the same way, though obviously the shared currency doesn't help with contagion.

It's gonna have to be able to afford to as many as come. I really don't like the way this is going.

Well, and I think something has been lost(as ever) in the study to press reporting. Often, if you look at the study behind the headlines(particularly in certain publications), it isn't always really reported correctly.

Puncheon wants to move to a club in London where his family is I heard. Though my source is just a relative, not the man himself.

From reading about it, it does seem a bit like sour grapes from the governing body of taekwondo. He does kinda have a point, he is world number 1. I hope the BOA overturn it.
-
Sounds reminiscent of British Tennis(though they do seem to have taken notice finally a few years back) post Andy Murray who went to Spain and became a world class player, whereas his brother Jamie, the better player while they were young, opted to stay in Britain and his talent never fulfilled itself. Though I can't imagine Taekwondo has much funding whereas Tennis is this country has loads.
-
World Rankings would make more sense, because British number 53 is probably world ranking number somewhere in the high hundreds. Maybe it was something to do with national qualifiers.
-
Is this world rankings or British rankings? I know absolutely nothing about Taekwondo.
