What he said. No point to keep pointing the finger. we all know there is a massive gulf. Need to spend a couple seasons in the championship to rebuild and produce a team ready for the premier. Unfortunately, I think we will be down for a few seasons sorting this mess out.

Great post. Keep your chin up. Yes things all look bad from football through to the state of the country. But, not easy I know, I like to look for the silver lining on all and increasingly difficult. Generally people are good and those that would do the country harm have the upper hand because it is east to criticise when things are down. I'm lucky to travel all over the world and based on what I see there is still something very different and special about the British. I know we naturally look at what is bad about us but when I see even simple things like attitudes on using public transport I feel not all is lost. I'm in my 60's and people still offer me a seat when I get on the London Tube, Its not as common as you would used to see. I agree the art of queuing has been lost getting on London buses. A couple of recent trips in various EU countries, I could not help but notice no one offers a seat or to help those that need it, was virtually none existent. In Brussels, when I stood to allow a young pregnant woman to sit, there was a look of horror then surprise that I cared. She eventually sat down, but not a 'thank you' to be heard. The world we are living in is increasing dominated by people being selfish. But deep down I believe in the good of people. I still believe there in those silver linings. We all have trails through our lives being occasionally being there for others can bring some positiveness to someone else's life. So if others feel this is another boring response so be it, but if some can try to keep smiling when their situation looks to be dire and it can make a little positive difference to another's day. I didn't really mention football....but I will still be there Saturday. Keep smiling on.

What no VAR!!!

totally Dibling at fault. Ref acknowledge the free kick and waved play on, playing the advantage as you'd expect from that position on the field.

Who will the next manager and of course.....who will be his/her replacement come Christmas?!?!

Well here goes......Rather than Nicola Cortese being involved with a buy out of Sunderland.......I'd have him back as CEO in a flash to sort this mess out......I know it was Liebherr's money but generally he took no shiite and arguably when he was in charge we were one of the best run clubs in the country....I'd always be one to argue never go back but looking at the state we are in, he is one man I'd have back.

Even MLT would have struggled to keep this team in the top flight.
-
Hang on why don't we play it out from the back?!?!
-
let's tempt fate. No goals in the premier 3pm kick offs so far

Again not a mention of Saints on MotD, not much to say I know. In their eyes obviously we are dead and buried and not part of the PL elitist club.

The shirt happened in front of me. I missed the handover of the shirt but saw the saints fan, big bloke, waving it about shouting 60 quid on ebay.

Please not Cooper but do we deserve or likely to get anyone else with experience? I'd love it to be Potter but so very unlikely. Or Moyes but again why would he. Suspect it will be someone with no prem experience again.
