Actually thats not quite correct in 2 ways. Firstly, the development of our species from non-intelligence to space faring happened over a microscopically small amount of time when compared to the age of the planet, a similar leap in development could generally have happened at any time within the space of a few million years. likewise we may not have made the step up for another few million years. Secondly, our star is a relative new comer in a fairly old galaxy, there is the very real possibility, that over 13 odd billion years our galaxy has been forming stars and planets, expiring those stars and forming new ones, that great space faring civilizations have come and gone, and our only job as an interplanetary species, will be nothing more than terraforming and glorified archaeologists, examining the leftovers of those that came before us. all imho, of course

How can you possibly say the current crop of races are MORE boring than the procession that was Michael Schumacher and Ferrari 5-10 years ago. Watching it for 25 years? flicking it on for a few laps every month more like...

Any decent "flight case" will be strong enough to withstand anything, however the cheaper ones will still get damaged (the case, not the guitar) if you really abuse them, i managed to drop my strat (inside its case) down a flight of stairs to a concrete floor, bent the case a little (still useable) but cant help but think a *really* good case wouldnt have. As for makes, can't help cos I'm a cheap bastard.
