  1. Good post, chrisobee... and yes, information like that!

Just had a look at fixtures this weekend, not impressive for my type of betting - big clubs v big clubs all over the world at the moment and its also the dreaded 'FA Cup' weekend.

Anyway... my tips for a £23.60 stake (5,6,7,8 fold and 9 result accy) and a £225 (9/9) return...:

Chelsea, Real Madrid, Inter, Wisla Krakow, Newcastle, Leeds, Norwich, Panathinaikos and Valencia (all at home).

That said - not all of the teams above are 'bankers' - they are just the best from a pretty dire bunch this weekend :(

  2. Don't forget the infamous adult tickets for 20 quid throughout the entire season and the kids for a quid initiative they've been giving out all season in the league.... yet they still manage only around 14,000-15,000 LOL

I blame the annexation of the People's Republic of Hayling Island for the downturn.

  3. Just posted on The News website.....under this article:

    http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/newshome/Pompey-administrator-slams-HMRC.6122599.jp

    Guess which comment was mine....:D

Wonder if any of the locals will understand.....

    Je-heee-sus!

a few interesting excerpts just to show how out of touch/thick/babyish some of them are:

Seems like Andrew Andronikou is on the ball ! PUP

It's time someone hit out at HMRC. OK so they are owed money but that does not give them the right to act in an unreasonable manner. As I have written before officers at HMRC are only appointed by having unpleasant and unreasonable personalities. As I have asked twice before but no answers posted, has anyone living in Portsmouth contacted their MP to ask them to enquire of HMRC why they are taking such an unreasonable and irrational attitude to PFC?

I am hugely impressed by this man's professionalism

Well if he's got the evidence then the court not the tax man will rule in the favour of the club. I applaud his fighting talk. HMRC are bullies and this guy ain't gonna be bullied!!

And... a buzzing Fratton is expected as the blue few really answer the rallying call... here is the crowning pile of doggie do-do:

A sell out for Saturday - 300 tickets left

I believe their first sell out of the season! Congratulations (almost)

Some of their fans of there are quite switched on and WANT answers and rightly so - quite a turnaround from a few weeks back when they didn't know who to blame and were pretty quick to jump on Claridge's back, despite him speaking the harsh, cold reality of truth...

  4. So it's Comical Al's fault, nope it's Al Mirage, wrong it's Storrie teller, ha ha, wrong again, it's the PL's fault.Well none of them, according to this chap it's.........

    The taxman

Why is it that there's no questions about why the tax people allowed such a debt to accrue over such a long period? They could've nipped it in the bud over the last 7 years but have let it go on and on. Hardly rocket science thinking to imagine things are bit dodgy!

    LOL, genius.

I wish I had the time to go through this thread with all the excerpts from Portsmouth fans and document them. They really have to be one, if not the most, stupid fans ever.

And they squeal like girls about everything, too.

  5. That's interesting. With 15 teams and covering down to any 10 - exactly how many bets is that? (I can't find a perm chart which goes up to 15!).

It's 66 bets to cover any 10 from 12 so it must be a lot.

At a wild guess I'd almost reckon that if you only got 10 out of the 15 correct then you'd be making a very small profit - if any (depending on the odds of the 10).

You know... I'm ashamed to say but I haven't a clue about the intricacies!:( I wish I could say I had a perfect formula but like I said, it's still a learning curve, thats for sure!

The basis I work on is ensuring that I cover my outlay using the 10/15 an 11/15 'bankers and anything else earnt extra is a bonus - and because they are normally 'red-hot' favourites, I do see a profit :) I bet small on the 10, 11, 12 sections and normally considerably bigger on 13,14,15 on the accy - depending on how much I can afford to lay out.

Won a few three and four figures sums but I've lost what I've considered 'big' when I have a 'freak week' and only score 8 and 9's out 15 :-o

I do this by using the integrated odds calculator on BlueSq, which of course, makes it easy. :)

Nice one. That could be an interesting thread. Late goals and dodgy decisions that have WON you money. Ummmm... I can't think of any! I guess we don't remember those so much...

Haha, it would - my friend just won a few grand on Rangers last minute as part of an accy but being the risque chap he is, spunked almost all of it away a few hours later :(

His method is different to mine - he normally does 3-5 teams, all to win, homes and aways and the matches he chooses are a lot closer in terms of teams playing, for example 'Liverpool v Arsenal' as opposed to 'Man Utd v Wigan'... he has to bet a bigger than me (normally over a ton) but gets a good return when they come in.

  6. I have seen nothing which suggests the court have granted HMRC's wish to examine Fuglars client account relating to PFC transactions.

IF Chainrai was paid £2m out of that account in February is that in breach of the WUO against PFC?

If the answer is yes Fuglars & Chainrai needs to get themselves off the hook. How do they do that? By saying it was not money from PFC but from Falcondrone.

But then they will have admitted that the loan was to Falcondrone (which is what Ms Robbins said in her statement of affairs document) and that takes away Chainrai's secured creditor status.

    Check mate? So they're screwed?

  7.

Baines had a good game considering he had no protection down the whole of the left flank.

Which is why I reeeeeeeeally don't like Gerrard - talented yes, selfish, yes. Absolutely no positional discipline. Yes, he's not a left midfielder but even when you play him in the centre he f()cks off and does his own thing and leaves the rest of the team to plug the gaps...

  8. Well, accy's are how I make an extra income.

I'll normally select 15 'banker' teams - ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen and fourteen fold and 15/15 (covering all bases to ensure a return but more expensive!) and have a fairly good record.

It's a bit of a learning curve and I've taken a few hits but I definitely reckon I'm doing ok at it. Always worth looking around at some form guides as well, just to check some of the 'bankers' are having a good season, home/away's and current form of 'bankers' and their opposition before any concrete decision.

And... I totally have sympathy for some of the guys on here who have lost accy's on freak last minute goals... thankfully, I had a bit of good fortune last year... I'd backed Anderlecht against a rather lowly opponent only to see Anderlecht squander a 1-0 lead late on in the game and subsequently get a player sent off.

I was about to screw up my ticket and as the game ticked over into stoppage time, I decided to leave the game behind and go make a cup of tea. I returned to find not only had Anderlecht scored, but they had done so in the 7th and last minute of some rather dubious and unprecedented injury time - so I was quids in again :)

  9. Even the administrator is a complete loon.

£30m for that pile of old crap? Er, no thank you.

And he's going to ask the EPL as to why Portsmouth should incur the penalty points... "I'm going to ask them what for?" - Er, cheating, money laundering?

  10. But cheated with their mates girl? Not many I would say...

But surely you are morally a wrong 'un, whether you cheat with a mates girl or someone elses?

    Anyway.. moving on...

  11. John Terry to be booed as England's latest pantomine villain by people in the crowd who have probably cheated themselves at somepoint.

Steven Gerrard to refuse to pass to literally everyone, despite them being in better positions etc - proper 'Roy of the Rovers' stuff.

And the score to be, maybe... an unconvincing 2-0?

  12. One Pompey fan thinks that they own their training ground too. Look at the comments here http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premier_league/portsmouth/article7046403.ece

LMAO! 60 million per year. LMAO... 'third rate' Southampton - who have higher attendances despite being a lower division, have our own stadium, debt free and have our own training ground (even in its current satisfactory condition) - Oh... THAT Southampton.

And that 'large' catchment area is doing well for them at the moment, isn't it?

That's some wishful thinking there - who would want a grubby bedsit next to that ****hole of a stadium, anyway?

Actually, I think I've just answered my own question...

  13. According to our skate posters (Who seemed very well briefed on the subject) it was dependant on attendances and estimated number of fans the new club could expect to take to games etc and putting them into a league that best catered for that.

Lol, let's not forget - they think they OWN their loan players

  14. As posted briefly yesterday, spoke with an accountant of MM yesterday, although he had no access to books at Fratt@n he still had contacts there and kept an interest. He said that when MM was there he kept a tight knowledge on the pennies. After he sold there was no control over the finances. No person in overall charge of the overall finances, and some of the practices were 'questionable' and in his opinion fraudulent. He believes that PCFC have been been trading whilst insolvent for many months, possiblly a year or so. He also stated that MM was asked a few weeks ago for 30 million pounds to keep them going ... he declined because of FA rules etc. But also because there was no colatoral and it would be just 'throwing the money down a black hole'.

Jesus, Pompey really do not have any scruples or morals, do they? Asking MM to borrow 30m? Die now, please.
