  1. Dalek, is that you…?
  2. That’s what I don’t get though. Why did he immediately change it again after that game? We were fantastic in that match and played one of the best teams in the world off the park. It felt like he’d actually found a system that worked so why on Earth not just stick with that?
  3. Right. Blank sheet of paper and let's start again. 16 matches to play and we probably need something like 21-22 points. Take Bazunu out of the firing line, go 4 at the back, compact three in the middle to try and protect the defence a bit more and get some attackers with goals in them to play off Onuachu. Caballero KWP (Bree if KWP out) Caleta-Car Salisu Perraud JWP Lavia Alcaraz Sulemana Onuachu Orsic Subs: Bazunu, ABK, Maitland-Niles, S. Armstrong, Edozie, Adams, A. Armstrong, Mara, and Bree if KWP fit (Djenepo if he's not). Dropped from the squad without trace, never to darken the shirt again: Bednarek, Lyanco, Elyonoussi, Diallo, Walcott, Aribo.
  4. Of all the places available to place the blame for that shitshow, Bazunu is not one of them.
  5. Speechless. Just when you think Saints can't get any more embarrassing. The board, the manager, the players. Fuck the lot of them.
  6. What’s absolutely astonishing to me is that despite the fact we’ve been hilariously shit for what now feels like years, we’re still not cut adrift at the bottom. We’re somehow still one win and goal difference away from getting out of the bottom three. How we’re not completely dead and buried yet is beyond me. But we’re not. With just a bit of basic organisation and man-management it still really wouldn’t take that much to get fairly comfortably safe. Grind out a couple of ugly 1-0s at home, the confidence comes back and everything starts feeling different. Which of course Jones is clearly not capable of, which makes it all the more imperative for SR to cut their losses immediately, admit their mistake, send this delusional psychopath packing and get a proper manager in, before that gap really opens up.
  7. We’ll put out a terrified young goalkeeper behind a load of random players playing in random positions in a series of ever-changing formations, none of which they understand or have been properly coached in. The manager will shout and scowl on the touchline and bite his nails and pick his nose a lot, and huddle round an ipad nodding while Chris Cohen points at things. We’ll go 2-0 down, and then with the game lost and them sitting back we’ll put a half decent passing move together in the 83rd minute and the manager will say in his post match interview that that’s evidence that we’re “so, so close”. We’ll still be stone bottom Saturday night, with another game wasted. I’d imagine.
  8. Enough to suggest that he isn’t a plant who has obviously only signed up to post pro-Jones bullshit? Nice first post for you too, btw 👍
  9. Gosh, another brand new poster with one post to his name telling us all how Jones is really really good actually and not obviously utterly out of his depth. Come on Nath, that’s three log-ins you’ve got now. Shouldn’t you be taking training?
  10. I have 🙋‍♂️
  11. Guido Carillo
  12. Jones had Todd All six of those examples are full backs. Which is odd.
  13. Just £750k to get a grass into the dressing room. Bargain!
  14. Ssssshhhhh!! You'll drive the price up you fool!
  15. Actually can someone go on Twitter and tell all the lads to pipe down? Jackson’s about to fail his medical at Bournemouth, if they all stop discussing it we could get him!!!
  16. It’s the Saints fans I blame for discussing the club on social media. We really need to buck up and implement the ‘code of silence’ agreement that all other clubs in the world have with their fans where they never talk about their team online, which in turn allows their clubs to sign players. It’s nothing to do with the people doing the recruitment, it’s all our fault and we deserve what we get. (Or don’t get, it would seem, with just a few days left of the window and still no fucking striker).
  17. 🤣 That has to be a joke, right?
  18. Yeah Soul II Soul are great, to be fair
  19. Six attacking players on the bench, so we can finish with 8 up front if we need a goal.
  20. Sums him up. All about him, the absolute antithesis of a team player. So much talent but can’t be arsed to apply it. Such a waste.
  21. Moi is a textbook ‘manager’s player’. Does what he’s told, will play anywhere, doesn’t moan, works hard, never causes any trouble. They all have one who then probably gets more game time than they should as the result of being a ‘model pro’, which blinds the manager to their limitations. Paul Telfer and Jermaine Wright spring to mind.
  22. Keep it exactly the same. Same XI, same formation, same aggressive, high-energy press. That was the best we’ve played in about two years. That side just played one of the best teams in the world off the park. Unless someone’s injured or so fatigued they can’t play, why would you change it? Let them worry about us for a change (which, going by their forum, they now very much are, which is remarkable really when you think where we were a week ago).
  23. Bale too, before that. It’s sometimes a shame that we can’t hang onto these players a bit longer, but it’s also a privilege to see them in a Saints shirt, even if just for a season or two.
  24. Why does Redknapp keep calling Mara "Maré"?
