A lot of people I know are getting gout. I’ve had it before but started taking turmeric everyday and not had it in 3 years. Some people are on daily medication for it and I don’t want to go down that route, so that was the start of me cutting back, but for sure am at the point where thinking j don’t need it. I look at the health of people 10-15 years older than me and those that haven’t taken care of themselves are in a right state now, all on medication, overweight, High blood pressure and cholesterol, it’s frightening.

Do you ever fancy one? In my 3 months off whenever i did fancy one it was very early and a zero lager nipped the taste in the bud, plus you only need one, a normal beer it's quite easy for one to become four or five. I found the longer it went on the less i fancied one, after about 6 weeks just didn't even fancy it. I started drinking again to celebrate the end of the Crossfit open when we had a few beers in the gym after the final workouts in week 3, once i started again soon slipped back to normal
  3. Apart from a couple of games, like the Argentina v Netherlands quarter final refs have generally let quite a lot go and not given out too many cards. It's good to see as generally it's been quite a good world cup. A few game changing decisions haven't been given though, notably the two against England but in the Argentina v NL game the lad who took out a player then booted the ball into the bench where the NL players were should have got two yellows and been sent off, that was blatant, in a game where the ref dished out over a dozen cards not sure how that wasn't picked up. I'm sure there are others but they are the two that stood out to me as that could have impacted who made the final. Despite the myth there have still been some very poor ref performances and VAR controversy despite the myth everyone else has got it so much better.
  4. Funny how when the teams are majority black or Asian the question is never “why aren’t there more white players”
  5. Wondered how long it would take…
  6. What looked like a foul on Boufal in the Penalty area ended up with him being booked 🤔 still Qatar Sport Investment has Messi v Mbappe final…
  7. Last time we played Barcelona in a friendly whilst being at a training camp in Spain we brought Ronnie Eklund back with us. I wonder what little present god will give Nathan?

Im yet to find a decent alcohol free wine yet, nosecco is okay if you like that sort of thing. Some of the zero lagers are good though, henekien on draft is better than the one with alcohol in it IMO. Peroni, San Miguel and Moretti all decent too.

That's the thing that makes it tricky. I reckon i could give up quite easily if i didn't have any mates or a job. It's them that are the problem!
  10. Is the Porthouse still open? Muswells always used to be decent as well, and the place a few doors down. Shops wise Basilica was good and there was that place on the right as you walk down into town from where Muswells etc is, used to have a very attractive blonde girl work in there c95. Very flirty after a few drinks. Always seemed to do quite well for the ladies in Winch.

Could you/would you give it up? Seems very fashionable at the moment to be teetotal. Apparently one in four young adults now don’t drink. I’ve had spells in my life where I’ve quit short term for a reason. earlier this year whilst training for and competing in the CrossFit open I gave up for 3 months and have to say ive never felt better, lost a stone without trying and fitness levels improved dramatically. However few things nicer than a cold beer on a summers day or a nice bottle of red. I’ve recently found out a school friend of mine died from alcoholism so certainly raised some questions about if the benefits outweigh the many negatives
  12. You consume too much shit. Stop listening to stuff like LBC, stop reading the guardian, you’ll be happier, trust me.
  13. No thanks I’ve got enough stalkers already without taking a role in the public eye
  14. If the ref hadn’t given a penalty he’d have found a way to say it wasn’t a foul
  15. Peter Walton is the expert here Cat
  16. Les dream just died
  17. If Croatia and Morocco could somehow get through it would be Lovren v Boufal and one of Les Reeds greatest signings would have a World Cup winners medal. Surely the final would be #thelesreedfinal
  18. Jermaine Jenas would be another excellent candidate plus he’s presented the one show as well so can speak with authority on social issues
  19. No wonder there is such a loser mentality around the club, we’re used to losing. Even if you go down and come up at least you win quite a few games rather than bumbling to less than a quarter of the games you play most seasons.
  20. Anyone else looking forward to his first reference to god after a win? A few on here will be exploding.
  21. Doubt it, he's welsh.

  23. it’s not a supposed condition dopey you could have googled it or even added it to the existing Elon Musk thread rather than start yet another look at me thread, where you yet again reference "speaking out against racism" but to help you here is what it means, it took about 3 seconds to find, rather than the many minutes it took you to type the post. Meaning behind ‘woke mind virus’ explained as Elon Musk calls for its end (hitc.com)
  24. You bugger you got me looking, So since start of 2018/19 season inc this season we've won 48 matches, Palace have won 53 playing one game less. Wonder if anyone can do worse than 48?
  25. i doubt it hun, Huddersfield made the play offs last season and won 23 games, Derby and Reading have been pretty much middling championship clubs over the last five years which is typically about 6-65 points mark, so say 15 wins, apart from last season where they were both crap, even then Derby actually won 14 games. It'd be interesting to check actually but i cant be arsed and dont have time. I bet we are well near the bottom of the list.
