Used to be extremely highly rated but has lost his way a bit. Obvious talent, but on the decline the last couple of years which is the only reason we have a chance of getting him.

Surely we wouldnt get Capel and Mane/Redmond?

Haven't seen it reported anywhere apart from the Mirror? Not even a name mentioned by the Journalists that follow Saints.

Echo saying the same as Jeremy Wilson so maybe they have been briefed. Prime targets are Alderweireld and Mane with van Dijk and Redmond as back ups.

Agree. Plus those two would be permanent deals. Have to say though, I think Redmond is quite overrated. Mane looks the most exciting.

Capel seems like a player on the decline. Was highly rated about 5 years ago. Hopefully Spurs can just get Welbeck on loan instead, which is probably to tide them over until the inevitable Jay Rod move there.

Shame if we miss out on Mane to Spurs - looks to be exactly what we need, albeit from limited evidence.

Braintree Town have now come in for Hooiveld.

Stoke going back in for Redmond apparently. He seems to be the third or fourth choice for a few teams.

If we get Toby then surely it would leave Hooiveld surplus to requirements, and could possibly see Stephens loaned out?

Wouldnt overly suprise me if something happened with Townsend and Jay Rod. We clearly want Townsend, they clearly want Jay and he probably wants to reunite with Poch who massively improved him. With it looking unlikely he will sign a new contract perhaps the club feel they will get more for him now than the next couple of windows. Hope he doesnt go, but it wouldnt be shock of the century. Although it would (rightly) wind Morgan up even more. Mane and Alderweireld would be class today.

Mirror says we have turned down 6m from Palace for Cork and won't be selling, despite his contract running down.

Kacaniklic is a decent player, certainly as another option. Perhaps someone like Ramirez may still leave if we got two attacking midfielders/wingers?

Option to buy is good. Reslity is the player goes where he wants anyway. After a season of not playing much hopefully he will just enjoy regular football. Great signing as gives RB cover as well as a good central defender.

Correct. Same as Clyne who we will also have a problem with if no deal signed by next summer.

By all accounts he is recovering well and I am sure Spurs have excellent info suggesting the same. We were also happy enough to offer him a 5 year deal, so would suggest the injury isnt a factor.
