Well - if cortese has to wait until next week to do the deal im sure he would - Ramirez is apparantly the no 1 target so a few days doesnt make any difference. They key is whether we know we can get him - if we do then we will be happy to wait, if the gut feeling is it will be tough then you have to walk away at some point and switch focus to other targets.

Same - really hope we get it done. With Phillips or another winger too then we would have a quality attacking lineup. If the CB we get is half decent then should have a great season.

Both are football Journalists based in the South. Simon Peach from Press Association posts on here occassionally and has a line into Sibley. Think its strange both are saying almost same thing (posted at nearly the same time) suggests it was fed by Saints, like the Bologna journalists are given info by sources at their club. If its true or not Im not sure, but most likely has been given to them by SFC so at worst they (SFC) are trying to show that its not our "fault" if the deal doesn't happen and at best SFC are confident it will be overcome. As for the post above, Peach has never tweeted things just to please the fans...he will post the info he is given, as the Bologna Journalists are. Both sides telling a different story so hard to see truth beneath the agendas.

I took the agents comments as a way of saying to Bologna, "Look, there is no other interest on the horizon. Take the offer or he will be staying with you (which they don't want)".

Sure Carvalho (34), after playing for Porto, Chelsea and Real Madrid is relishing joining QPR. Decent signings in theory but Im happy to miss out and sign up and coming, hungry players myself. Looks like poor planning by QPR, suddenly replacing their two CBs after being thrashed at the weekend. Got a feeling about them: whatever they try it just doesn't work for them. They have such a turnover of players and no real philosophy or plan.

I would say of our starting XI from Sunday all of them are good enough to play in the Prem - of course some are better than others but playing in the right team, as individuals I don't think we are carrying anyone from Sundays team. If Puncheon or Guly played for another Prem team I don't think they would stand out as being awful. The current issue is that beyond probably 14 players there is a lack of depth, and we could do with a couple of prominent players, one at the back and one out wide. That would improve the team, but the current individuals played the best footy in the Championship and I have faith they will all hold their own this season. The team as a whole will be improved by additions however, although this is obvious.

Bologna want to sell the player. His agent now quoted as saying he will stay at Bologna. They don't want him to stay...they need the money from his sale. No other offers for him apart from the Saints one which he wants... Would the agent out these quotes out if it was really off? I would imagine Ramirez would be very angry at missing out on a quadruple your salary move...
