That was as good a performance you will see from a centre half so young who only has a few games under his belt in the Premier League. This lad is going to be some player and we'll likely only get to enjoy him this season if he continues to perform on that level. He's probably already on Liverpool's radar.

I think JWP is a player who needs a few games to get him up to full speed - I seem to recall he started last season slowly.

Plenty of positives and lots to admire in our performance. Thought we were worth a point overall. ABK superb as was Lavia. Djenepo did really well at full back. Mara was lively and had two great attempts. Disappointments for me were KWP and JWP who both can play better. If we have a good finish to the transfer window who knows - think we need a striker and a creative midfielder more than anything after watching today's game. Good effort lads against a side that costs millions.

Yeah, I was torn between the two Armstrongs. Adam has impressed me in the way we've used him this season. He's been involved in a big way both in terms of defence and offence and has had a hand in some of our goals. I just think his pace and tenacity offers a bit more than Stu at the moment. However, a fully firing Stu when on top of his game is hard to leave out - unfortunately we don't seem to see that from him these days so right now Adam is the better option for me.

Thought you meant I was in for disappointment about Maitland Niles but seems you meant we probably won't be signing anyone before the window closes? That would be majorly disappointing for everyone after we've been led to believe a striker was a priority.

Of course and I didn't suggest otherwise. It's strange that he seems nowhere near the first team these days so you'd think Championship teams would view him as someone they could get.

It's strange that there seem to be no links to Redmond. He'd be excellent for a Championship side. I wonder if he's told his agent he's not willing to take a drop in salary and will see out his contract here, happy to take the money and sit on the bench or even at home. It's easy money and means he can also do the bare minimum in training if he so wishes.

Not many days left now. Hoping we have a decent new striker ready to pull from the hat to give us all a nice surprise. A creative number 10 who can carry the ball forward, go past people and slide passes to the strikers would be good plus a centre back if Bednarek leaves. Maybe a loan to cover full back. Not sold on Maitland Niles if I'm honest so wouldn't be disappointed if we don't bring him in.
