Back in the early 2000s, I studied at Portsmouth University. I lived in Fratton whilst I was there and often wore my Saints shirt out and about. Never had any issues whatsoever. I had a part time job and on Saturdays we used to listen to the football on the radio and we had loads of banter about the scores, all in good humour. My housemate worked at the Ladbrokes next to Fratton park and was on good terms with Steve Claridge because he saw he daily placing his bets 😂
