I'm willing to bet it goes pop in the first game after the transfer window closes

After watching Conor Gallaghers introduction at Athletico Madrid, I sure hope we do something similar for our last minute of deadline day loan signing of a striker (cough Danny Ings cough). https://x.com/atletiuniverse/status/1826358860627759506?t=Zhx00_nPeiAAtO9ceQ8h4w&s=19 The motorbikes were a nice touch.

RDT_20240821_185858.mp4 These are the goal animations for each team when they score in televised games. Ours looks pretty good, hopefully it won't be long before we can see it 👍

As with any Saints keeper, it's not the saves video you need to see, but the blooper reel

De Telegraaf, a national Dutch newspaper is saying its done.... https://www.telegraaf.nl/sport/1285897263/justin-bijlow-als-eerste-doelman-naar-premier-league-club-southampton

https://x.com/David_Ornstein/status/1826200198789648432?t=A1FkFBEheZgEHa6VBIYUhw&s=19 Some of these prices for lower end strikers are crazy. Nketiah for 30-35m is madness, but if goes to show the struggles in buying a striker with PL experience. Also, Man City are sniffing around Celtics striker Kyogo, which would fill their pockets - might have some impact on any MOR deal.

They are pretending he's always injured to put off buyers tbf 😂

I mean the headlines write themselves when he makes a mistake... My GK prediction is that Palace sign Ramsdale, then let Johnstone leave to us.
-
@FRsources 19m Crystal Palace are interested in Aaron Ramsdale. No official offer has been made to player/club. Wolves and Bournemouth also exploring a deal. #AFC I can't see us getting him with those other clubs sniffing around...

I received some complimentary WhatsApp messages this evening from my Portuguese (Sporting fan) ex colleague. I'd not spoken to the guy in three years but he was so gutted to have sold Fernandes that he reached out to say what a fantastic player we've signed. I'm taking that as a very good sign, he knows his football, so I'm very curious to see what this boy can do.

There's so little value in this transfer market for a team like Saints with a (relatively) small budget. Sep van den Berg going to Brentford for £20m https://x.com/David_Ornstein/status/1825889424418177491

Five defenders, five defensive midfielders, 37 0-0 draws and we stay up with 37 points and a goal difference of minus 1 😱

https://x.com/Millar_Colin/status/1825609598105268604?t=eRnp_wdkbAA3mZy9X_XuoQ&s=19 The transfer market is crazy right now. Some weird ffp shenanigans are afoot.

Smart move is to loan a keeper from a top team that we're not expected to beat. The reason being, McCarthy will have to play in two games this season (against the lending team). So we're going to lose. Against Arsenal, for example, we will probably lose twice anyway so it doesn't make any difference.

We win that game with Bazunu in goal. (I'll never say that again)

Livramento starts for Newcastle. Targett on the bench.

Jack Stephens is Lucy Pinder? 😱😱😱

Considering I'd never heard of the guy about 24 hours ago, I have to admit I'm excited by this Lesley signing. He sounds exactly what we need, plus it might enable Shea to go out on loan and get some game time as well. Welcome aboard.
-
That's a sensible choice from the management. Maybe that's what they foresee.
-
We call him Lesley, he really hates Pompey. 🤦
-
Lesley Ugochukwu Help me pronounce that surname. Ugo-chuck-wo? Ug-ochuck-woo? Something else?
-
Good article, thanks for posting.

Poch and Matt Crocker team up again as Manager and Sporting Director of the USA mens team. Slightly surprising choice.
