put me on ignore then. Can't deny some of the comments, are they poor too? Strange considering one of your remarks on that thread. You are obviously lacking some confidence in this expensively formed squad also it seems. We play pretty ****e football for what we have at our disposal. As i say,use the ignore button.

So i'm not the only one that thinks we are underachieving..... http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?28847-Playoff-place-secured Couple of comments regarding the playoffs and that 'we would'nt stand a chance' and it 'would be a lottery'.......my point exactly, we are poor in comparison to others,,we should really fear no one with this squad...but unfortunately it is not being utilised correctly.
-
Christ, i get pelters for saying we are underachieving and not living upto expectations. Playoffs will be a really crap return. 2nd place, below par but will have to do.
-
Notts County at home. Tranmere, away. Peterborough away.Travesty we gave away a 2 goal lead, twice. Hartlepool and Walsall. I will throw Brentford away in also, although your time frame does not allow it.....any other boundries you would like to put in place? Any other sides who i think are/have been exceeding expectations? see it's all relative to what you have at your disposal.......Brighton and dare i say it Bournemouth. Peterborough. Swansea,Notts Forest,Chesterfield,Wycombe.rotherham.

Yeah, just think eh,iron out those things and all would be rosey. But i fear the Status Quo will remain. Que the Quo jokes.

Look at what he came into. It was a shell of a football club in comparison to what Adkins has .
-
I must be as predictable as yourself in that case.

Ok i will try... Last season both individually and collectively we played with confidence and a swagger. When we took to the field i thought we were unbeatable and the players gave that out as a sense of matter of fact. Players appear to be playing within themsleves, scared to show what the can do. It seems that the reigns have been pulled in and self expression is no longer allowed. We seem nervous, that can be echoed in the fans both on here on matchdays and at St Marys. Whereas a shortwhile back gung ho and the 'we will win' was the order of the day. I have backed us to win in every game on the prediction league, maybe foolishly,if you look at how many are more cautious with their prdictions it is really surprising. Something is pulling us back,my conclusion it is Adkins. Harding,Lambert,Fonte and others are a shadow of themselves. All imo.and i do not expect anyone to agree.

It's not been easy i can tell you. Try raising a little'un as a saint down here.

I don't go to as many nowadays due to work and being a single dad. But i have seen games this season and been and felt i have been left a little shortchanged due to the rhetoric spouted by Adkins and also what was rammed down my throat about how good he was. Couple that with the sqaud we have we are not as convincing as results would have us/others believe. I don't think we are playing aswell as we did under Pardew,at best we are mediocre, which is not good enough. Adkins is at the helm of a very capable squad, yet we are underperforming. The results are carrying him,yet the playing style is no different to what we have seen before,in fact i would go as far as to say it is very poor. He is not getting the best out of what is at his disposal, whereas it seems others are overachieving which in turn is making us even more mediocre. Is it not in the managers remit to make the players exel and go beyond there natural talent,if so Adkins is failing where others are exelling.
-
Very true. But are you not just a little disappointed in the manner we are getting these results. And no i don't expect us to play champagne/Arsenal like football, but by christ we have a sqaud capable of playing far better.

I can assure you i am Saints through and through, from my days in the family centre at the Dell till this very moment. I am just someone with a differing opinion, does that then not make me a saints supporter?
-
I am certainly not modelling myself on anyone. My opinoins alone are the ones i am vocalising. I can handle being in the minority. I have been resolute in my thoughts and nothing but consistant. However much you may disagree with them,i am entitled to make them known.
-
Nah.....but you argued your point very well
-
So we played some good stuff against Yeovil. Well, the two goals anyway. Barring that, we have been ordinary. Hardly revolutionary.
-
My goodness, what low expectations we have. Things better change if/when we reach the CCC.
-
And relegated once. I think you have just asnwered your question,he got scunny up twice...therefore he is a good manager??? Many have tried to impress on others what he did at scunny has some relevance to us...it has none. A CV is only a good indicator if the two jobs are on par and relative to each other.....Scunny V sfc is not on par nor relative.
-
Oh well, that makes it alright then. Shame he can't combine winning and attractive football. I thought that was the case for his appointment, fast fluid football with width.Exciting English manager that we should be lucky to have. Or is it cunningly disguised as hoofball. He should be done under trades discription.
-
Performances are still under par. Mother Theresa should be able to get this side playing just a tad more attractively and with more dominance. We should still gain promotion however. Fingers crossed. Not that we should rely on crossing our fingers.
-
I think you know what i mean. **** me,picking up on grammer, is that all you have to offer the debate?
-
Ok, so be it,but it is my view, like you are entitled to yours.
-
Excellent input to the thread,Well done. I dont' think Adkins has the ability to 'sell' the club to a player of any real worth. As i stated sometime ago we need to be putting in place the building blocks for a club that is prospectively playing in the CCC next season,we did not do that in January and anyone that comes in now should be of CCC calibre.Be it a loan with a view to a permanant deal would be ideal, however this is what should have happend in the recent transfer window. If we had been in a position,in the transfer window, that would point to others we were on course for promotion others may have been willing to join, however we were and have been the opitimy of inconsistancy, underperformance and relying on hope that we go up, instead of paving the way with the squad we have at our disposal.
-
Oh,trust me i love saints. Hence, i believe Adkins is not the right man, for the club i love.
-
If you think we have been performing to our full potential then you are as mad as cheese. We are limping along . Which is all well and good if it gains us promotion,i suppose.
