  1. Oh I've been party to that in the past. I may be reactionary and overly emotional but I'm not mental like that. Sadly for me the result of the Everton game is not that important to me anymore whereas after Wednesday I couldn't wait.
  2. I'm genuinely not going. I can't. Even if I could though it's possible I wouldn't though I have to say I would be tempted to go and express my displeasure before not going for the rest of the season. My friend isn't using his season ticket as he is in Oxford so I would probably use that.
  3. Ah you got me. I'm not going to the game.
  4. Yep pretty much this. I'm not saying this bloke necessarily will be bad and I'm certainly not judging him on his mixed results at espanyol as it is what he is like here that matters.
  5. Fair play for admitting it.
  6. Wish people would stop telling others to draw a line under it. This isn't something that is just going to go away. People are angry at this decision and want to make their feelings known during the game on Monday and they will do so.
  7. All I said was I can't imagine adkins plotting to take over from another manager for weeks.
  8. Its not really for you to tell me to calm down. I'm still angry about the way our manager has been treated.
  9. The principle is the same. He didn't want to leave S****horpe without compensation because he is an honourable man.
  10. Precisely. It says a lot about them as people.
  11. Cortese would have replaced him with RDM in the summer if he had the chance. As reported in the mirror this evening, he made Adkins aware that he wasn't Premiership class and Adkins' reaction after Coventry shows that he knew Clotese wanted him out.
  12. Again though, there is a difference between giving the new guy a chance and being appalled at the timing and manner of the sacking.
  13. They should have done it in the summer or next summer (though preferably not at all.) Doing it now IMO is terrible timing and as you said the manner of the sacking is disgraceful.
  14. Cheers. No I do agree. Not sure if I mentioned much about the new manager this morning although I may have done in my frustration. As I said earlier though, if we are wildly successful now that is almost an endorsement of the way this has been handled and what has happened and that would be a great shame.
  15. I don't have a win at all costs mentality. Far more important IMO for the club to be run with integrity and show loyalty towards successful staff (like Adkins) than win a lot of games in a season. You will disagree with me and it's fine that you base saints being successful purely on their league position but please respect that quite clearly not everyone feels that way.
  16. Not really. Even if we climb up the table until the end of the season, that doesn't make the decision to sack Adkins in this manner correct.
  17. Don't worry I'll try to avoid responding. I know you are just lashing out because the events of today have embarrassed you and your ridiculous defence of Cortese.
  18. What bandwagon jumping is he referring to then?
  19. I don't have to, I remember the sort of things you were posting.
  20. So the 94.8% of forum users who consider the sacking of Adkins to be wrong are bandwagon jumpers?
  21. Oh dear. You and other posters like you have been royally shown up with your blind support for the chairman. You have been made to look like mugs.
  22. Why is it an overreaction? It's my genuine reaction. For some fans including myself it isn't about a win at all costs mentality.
  23. Have you not read the mountain on posts from numerous posters on this subject today? I think you can clearly see what the most popular views are.
  24. However you are in a small minority.
