  1. Don't bother with this thread Stu, it's not worth it.
  2. Is it not possible to let down your customers in more than one way then? Kudos for the good winning football of course, but does that then mean they are above criticism for the handling of other areas of the club?
  3. I give up with you up and away as I have done so many other times down the years. If you resolutely refuse to consider another point of view then there is no point in discussing it.
  4. What other club apart from Southampton could you have bought for 12 million with all the assets and geographic location that Southampton has? For 12 million there is simply no better deal in football that I can think of.
  5. It isn't just about the money for Markus but it is the primary factor IMO. The amount of profit he makes being a tiny amount of his overall worth is totally irrelevant. If I had a million quid but found a way of making £1,000 would I turn it down? Of course not. Also it appears to be entirely about money for Cortese. Why else would he be here?
  6. What would you value Saints as? Do you not think people would be interested should we get to the Prem? We have infinitely more appeal than Pompey, Hull, Burnley, Boro, even the likes of Birmingham, Blackburn and Stoke.
  7. I can't be bothered to debate with up and away. I apologise because my comment goes against the spirit of the thread but I'm simply not going to comment on up and away because it's like banging my head against a wall.
  8. I agree with Stu...
  9. TBF Americans are good allies to have.
  10. If you reach any conclusions then feel free to let me know. If you want to discuss this thread then go ahead.
  11. Cheers. They go for about 250-270 on ebay but thought I would do a saints fan a favour.
  12. Cheers for the comments Clapham. They reassure me a bit!
  13. The not wanting to take it to court bit is what is worrying. How can they possibly challenge it without taking it to court?
  14. True, and not once did I believe we would either.
  15. If they have got away with this then there is truly no justice in the world.
  16. Law suits you say Stu. That sounds remarkably similar to my hypothetical scenario thread. Strange.
  17. There you go.
  18. No I mean the fact that they were originally claiming something like 17 million. HMRC then claimed 35 million and they agreed on 24 million. Some of them reckon it was a mutual agreement.
  19. Some of the skates reckon HMRC have cut a deal with AA and thus will not be challenging. Can't see it myself but I would be livid if true.
  20. Brand new never been used. In box with everything that comes with it. Asking for 210 which is pretty cheap if you ask me!
  21. will be interesting to see what hmrc will challenge. There are a number of angles they could take
  22. I think it all comes down to whether it is image rights tax (not legally enforcable) or fines from HMRC (legally enforcable) as to whether HMRC have a case here. If it is the image rights the AA will vigorously contest it because in law HMRC cannot enforce them.
  23. There is nothing to say they won't be dragged into a court dispute. They is no way they will just give up.
  24. It's more make sure you owe HMRC but owe other people loads more!
