  1. Dune, you get very close to making the very valid points that I and others make invalid due to your idiocy. Please stop making ludicrous and extreme comparisons and try to stick to the sensible points. Thanks.
  2. Thank goodness for CB Fry. A voice of reason swimming against the tide of idiocy.
  3. I have no problem paying the fiver because I more than get my moneys worth. However, I think the main gripe is that you can get similar forums to this (including the old S4E) which was free or at least where donating was optional (I want golden balls again )
  4. It is quite obvious that SFC are not doing anything to publicise season ticket and it appears that they are actively discouraging people from buying them. Does anyone disagree with this even if you disagree with other points, surely Stu has a point with this?
  5. No idea sorry trousers. I just know that Pardew was going to be sacked at the end of the season. You could see it was going to happen simply by listening to that Solent interview. I would imagine he had someone lined up or at least had looked into possibilities but that's just guesswork on my part.
  6. And for goodness sake why people cannot play the ball and not the man I have no idea. That used to be a policy on S4E. Why not debate the (IMO perfectly valid) points that Stu has raised without slagging him off personally. If someone else had made the same points then no one would be having a go like some posters are. FWIW no I do not think that Cortese is deliberately irritating fans. It is clear that he is running it purely as a way to make money. Having said that, I do see quite a few signs (many of which Stu has highlighted) which lead me to believe that SFC could be heading down a path which concerns me. I think concerns are worth highlighting in places like the Echo and Solent etc because I believe that fans speaking out does have the power to change minds and maybe make Cortese consider some actions. It is my (partially informed) belief that Pardew was going to be sacked until some influential fans and figures related to SFC spoke out and Cortese realised how unpopular sacking Pardew would be.
  7. Funny you should mention that. I wonder if anyone knows the progress that is making.
  8. Oh do f*ck off 1976 child.
  9. Lol that is Steve's address. Steve, do you like Paint Pots Nursery on Howard Road?
  10. When you are selling a product, you have to assume that your customers are as lazy as possible. It is in your interest to make it as simple as possible to get access and information about your product because there is always the chance that if it is not easy to access that some people may be put off. That is of course unless you don't really want to sell as many as possible...
  11. So in order to get a CVA approved, you can invent a load of old debt and get those creditors to approve a CVA. They then cannot prove they are owed any money so you don't actually have to pay them? That's outrageous!
  12. I was a season ticket holder and I did not get an email.
  13. But a little child wasn't blinded. I don't get your point.
  14. A year for lobbing a hub cap at someone? That's just mental really.
  15. How ridiculous.
  16. Why not just charge a grand each for tickets then we can have even better players!
  17. I think transparency is the key thing lacking. I'm not asking the club to lay its finances bare, but I do think the fans deserve to be told the reason behind things more often.
  18. No one has said otherwise apart from dune.
  19. TDD I can see the thinking of Cortese, I just don't like the way it has been implemented and how fans have been shown so little respect.
  20. The bad bunch being football club administrations/chairmans. It's irrelevent anyway, I could have just as easily have said, SFC may have a better administration in charge than most clubs, but that does not mean that there aren't big areas for improvement. If there is no fans forum then I shall be writing to both the club and the echo to highlight my concerns. I believe a group of fans (including mods on here) met last week to see if something could be sorted out. I am not sure of the conclusions. There is also rumours that Cortese was influenced to backtrack somewhat over sacking Pardew (you will no doubt dismiss this point but whatever.) Having fans be aware of what is going on and expressing displeasure at certain decisions means that the club are less likely to continually try their luck to see what they can get away with. The alternative is just sitting back, doing nothing and accepting whatever the club decides to do and I'm not prepared to do that.
  21. Sorry am not prepared to elaborate on here. There have been rumours of law suits against some fans and the Echo.
  22. Well someone has changed it!
  23. But being the best of a bad bunch does not mean that we should not highlight problems and issues within the administration and that we should not press the club for answers and to improve its relationship with the fans wherever possible.
  24. That's fine TDD but for others that is not the only thing they care about. Rumours of law suits is worrying, as is decisions being made with no explanation IMO. If there is a decision taken which negatively affects you then do you not think the least you deserve is an explanation? I imagine that it wouldn't bother you but you must concede that it bothers a great many saints fans, enough to make it a real problem I would say.
  25. Certainly recent signs are not encouraging Andy.
