Oh I'm not saying there was much choice and like you say it's the entire social thing as well as much as anything else. -

For me the saddest thing is the loss of that achievement. When I was a boy, you went to secondary school and it culminated in the exams which were what you had to show for your entire time there. For an entire year of pupils to lose that is pretty tragic. -

I mean if it came to it couldn't you just lie and say it was a different year? I assume students will get the same certificates as if they actually took the exams and in 5-10 years people will probably forget what year it was where the exams weren't actually done. -

Bit weird from the BBC to be comparing "exam results" with previous years as if there's any relevance at all. Or parents all over social media saying how proud they are for their children for what they'd "achieved". Personally if I were a child due to take exams this summer I'd be incredibly gutted and not see any results I've received as any sort of achievement at all. It's a very sad situation and I hope that those that want to get the opportunity to take the exams at a later date to feel a real sense of accomplishment. -
Clearly not which is the point. I don't agree with certain people being allowed to use words and not others based on the colour of their skin. As has been said previously, does the shade of the skin matter? Should we be critical if a brown coloured person uses it but less critical the darker the user?

If Reed wants to go then we won't be stopping him.
-
Even I'm nervous now. Bet they change it to Saturday just to spite me.
-
Americans who were looking at us before corona but that could have changed I really don't know the details and the people at the club wouldn't tell me if I asked.
-
Hold on I thought it was unacceptable when spurs fans chant yiddo? That's what loads of people have been saying for ages.

It's interesting though that the Premier league aren't so keen to stand up for something if its likely to cost them millions of pounds. It's almost like the black lives matter thing was seen as a harmless gesture they could make whereas when there's an opportunity to stand up against actual brutality and possible genocide they are strangely silent. Funny that.
-
Or that it's our contingency plan to be interested in him should Reed decide to leave?
-
TBF that doesn't say we aren't interested.
-
I think the first choice is for Reed to stay. Failing that then there is interest in McKennie. We might end up having neither because that's how transfers work but thats the state of play at the moment.

This Friday.

Probably worth pointing out that a few people I know have alluded to a takeover progressing but I haven't actually heard anything directly from anyone at the club about it.
-
It's a takeover moving forward.
-
I don't think that's the case sadly.
-
I was told we would hear something on Friday.
-
Despite Adam's denial we are very much interested. Has very impressive stats apparently though I haven't looked myself. Ab old school ball winner.
-
I don't actually know but maybe Gao insisted they go ahead with it? It's not like you'd voluntarily dump a legit sponsor like virgin and dive feet first into something with these shady characters. The extent to which Gao is involved I have no idea but if the rumours I've heard about a takeover moving forward are true, maybe Gao just wants to end his association with the club with no more financial outlay?

I was told 22.5 million so if it's a three year deal that would be accurate.
-
Genuinely not sure about the company but we are owed tens of millions and seemingly we aren't getting it. Pretty terrible news in the middle of a pandemic and not the sort of figure a club the size of saints can just swallow.

I haven't seen him since the start of the year when we were shite and he was just making the point that it was much easier to deal with things because there's been less abuse from fans and it makes it easier for them to do their jobs without worrying about that aspect of things.
