How do you suggest censoring them? You have people who play GTA and then go and kill people or who watch violent films and act them out. Should they all be banned? Fact is that with or without a religious verse there will always be weirdos and nutters who will use something to justify murder and violence. It's how the world works. With regards to Christianity specifically, many choose to view it through the lens of the time it was written when values were very different to today. Additionally, scholars cannot agree about translations and which ones are correct even today so I don't believe that what is written cannot be interpreted.

Eh? Nowhere in my reply have I mentioned the Evans case, that's only in your head. It's quite possible for someone to believe that consent has been given and thus have sex with someone only for a jury to later find them guilty of rape. That has nothing to do with the Ched Evans case I was discussing the issue of rape in general. If you consider it end of story then I suggest you steer clear of the thread.

Yes quite possibly but in other cases it could be a case of a lack of communication or misunderstanding. It sounds outlandish but things like this do end up in court. The point that CB saint made was that rape is worse than death by dangerous driving because there is intent behind a rape. I was simply pointing out that that is not always true.

It is possible for someone to be convicted of rape without them believing at the time that they raped someone. They may for example have believed that the other person had consented. It's why it's often such a difficult crime to prosecute.

Tbf not all rapists would have intended to rape someone.

The main thing I don't really get is how can you relate to someone on that level who is thirty years younger or older than you? Your life experiences and growing up would be completely different.

Clearly his fame is a factor here. The average 57 year old doesn't have a relationship with someone thirty years younger. By his own admission he has always had a bit of a strange relationship to sex and partners so maybe it's a factor here as well.

I'm still not sure how I feel about it. Something about an age gap that large makes me feel uneasy. Is there an age gap that you think would be too much? Fifty year perhaps?

What program comes up wheb you say Xbox arcade then? I immediately exited the program to go back into fifa so I didn't see what it opened but I presume it was some arcade program. I've only been on the Xbox a couple of times, not sure why I would feel the need to make it up.

I played fifa with a mate on his Xbox one and I commented that the Xbox one felt more arcadey than the equivalent game on my ps4. Cue the Xbox snapping to Xbox arcade and our online opponent immediately scoring a goal in the confusion. I can't be dealing with that rubbish.

Excellent book. This is a different strain though so not as bad as the book describes.
