Cork is an ok player. Maybe bit more exciting player than Forte and N'Guessan. personally put him at bit above fonte and lambert for various reasons although they were good signings and got us promoted.

This signing says a great deal about saints and where we are going. We haven't signed players like CMS who - imho - peaked last season in league 1, Danns who is never going to be top prem player, etc etc but have signed a very good player now, performing to top level in this division - who could easily get better and better by the team he peaks - he is has the potential to grow with us to mid premiership (the 'ambitious' signings we missed out on would not have that potential)

Heard it was all agreed back in June, 17th I think, but announcement delayed until after his holiday and to join up with Swiss trip

sorry, no idea personally whether CF or RW. The item about him was on talksport and they had their french reporter who seemed to know him well. The presenter said the same (CF) and was corrected saying he prefers and is better staying wide, but does have good scoring rate (about 1 in 4) cutting in. Saying his assists rates from wing even better. His understanding is that he will go to Arsenal and it will be as RW.

Don't always agree but agree with all of that. Gut feeling is he will still be here at end of window - as it was in January for the same reasons.

Arsenal just offered £27m for Benzema, goal scoring RW. That will give them Theo and Benzema on RW - is it worth another £10m for a 3rd choice?

those who are being negative were saying things like we should concentrate on play offs as we are not good enough, or during that amazing winning run that they can't enjoy it as the manner of wins makes them believe it won't last. The realistic view is that saints are currently amibitious, well run, with a good manager and on the up. If you can't enjoy that go support Barcelona as you will never enjoy saints.

maybe CMS is worth it to a club without any prestige wanting to improve their image and whose forwards have left them in the summer but not to a club who already have several good league 1 forwards? Nolan went to Allardyce because he was paid sillly money and had played for him before - not because he was famous.
