Yes because Southampton has been such a happy place with no dissenters in the ranks and everyone behind the club
-
Considering you boys are not Pompey supporters you like to keep up with the Pompey news very well.
-
Little birdy told me it was Southampton 0 Portsmouth 1 though...
-
Would be a great signing for your lot

Munto Finance v Markus Liebherr (Notts County v Saints)
FMPR replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
Greatest of respect lads but all that policy does is get your best players sold off whilst feeding the fans "just wait till next year" Look at Arsenal, if they had retained their better players they would have a hell of a squad but people like Hleb, Flamini and Adebayor want that success and more importantly money from the transfer. Can you see Fabregas hanging around next summer if Man City beat them to 4th spot? Whilst its fantastic to see your youth brought through clubs generally get success by buying quality players. Look at Utd, City, Liverpool, Chelsea all teams with excellent youth academies Utd - In there starting 11 now possibly just Neville City - Onuoha and Ireland (but Onuoha likely to goto Everton in p/ex for Lescott) Liverpool - Carragher and Gerrard (from 14 years ago) Chelsea - Terry (from 14 years ago) -
You boys will laugh at this, I know I am

So spending £6m when you only get £2m income in the championship is not overspending? Its like Pompey spending £90m when you only get £30m a season, wait a minute -

Or a Southampton waiting to happen. You boys overspent and nearly paid the price as well or are you forgetting that? -
I have to admit you boys are experts at this
-
If you take the way you attendances have been dropping in your non premier league years you would have gone the same way as us without new backing. We got new backing and the glory hunters came out You have got new backing and the same result will happen

I do love the fact that most of the fans here seem to think Portsmouth havent been through the edge of extinction/admin route before and that its unique to them. Yes we didnt get decuted 10 points but weve been through the pain before so know whats it like
-
Ajax probably mid table Prem standard tbh
-
Start as you mean to go on is what I think
-
I'll bet a friendly pint Granty that within one week of our takeover we will have signed more players than in one week of yours?

EXCLUSIVE: Portsmouth deal to be sealed on July 24 by Anil Bhoyrul on Wednesday, 15 July 2009 Confidential documents seen by Arabian Business show that Dr Al Fahim, who launched his bid for the Premier League club on May 27, has now agreed terms with the club. He will meet with club boss Peter Storrie Thursday evening in London, with the takeover likely to be officially announced on July 24, after the Premier League has completed its "Fit and Proper" persons test. According to a 48 page document entitled "Portsmouth: The New Era", it is also understood that current manager Paul Hart will be kept in charge of the club. "Mr Hart understands this club better than anyone coming in from the outside and deserves the opportunity to take it forward," the document says. It also details Dr Al Fahim's schedule for the coming months, saying the new owner "envisages attending every home game between August 15 and the end of 2009", and will host "Fans Sessions" on Friday evenings before home games. "As we move forward, the importance of Portsmouth fans, and their views on the future direction of the club, cannot be underestimated. We must have a constant dialogue with them, and begin this process from Day One." Dr Al Fahim himself meanwhile, according to sources close to him, is already working on detailed plans for the coming season. "Put it this way, he will be on a plane for seven hours tonight and studying team sheets rather than accounts. We have moved to the next phase, which is preparing for the season ahead," says the source. Dr Al Fahim will be travelling with his family to London, and stay in the UK capital for several days. "It's a mini family holiday, but that way he will be around if the Premier League need to see him," adds the source.

Of course we would, of our 20k capacity we have to give up 10% to the away support so that takes us down to 18k. With your 35k seater stadium you are not restricted like that are you Basic maths crab lungs it aint difficult, perhaps you should go on "are you smarter than a 10 year old" however I am reluctant to say whether you fit the 10 year old or adult part better tbh.

With respect lads, your record signing is Rory Delap for £4m which was around £3.5m higher than our record fee back in 2001. So please dont plead the we had no money line.
