  1. Yea it does. Sky + season tickets sales equates to approx £45m per annum. Our wages bill is standing at around £20m right htis minute but obviously with a wage bill that low we have severe quality problems
  2. Rupert Mk II
  3. With so many experts about takeovers here I fail to see how Paul Allen really didnt take you lot over, or Le Tissier, or the bloke with his mum. You guys are just so on the ball when it comes to your own club that I must believe so many of the "conclusions" you write about Pompey
  4. This guy is free http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clive_Woodward
  5. Of course you will have bigger attendances. You have a new owner, cheap season tickets and a bigger capacity I know you boys and girls keep clinging to that one remaining fact of attendance which we concede is true but we have a higher record attendance if you want to go back far enough. You might have the better supported club on the whole but we have the more succesfull one. Last post of the day
  6. Yes Ajax is a big team football and club wise compared to your lot, Rangers whilst a big team club wise arent exactly AC Milan playing wise
  7. Much like your lot did versus Hearts
  8. Considering the Quay are now owned by PFC I doubt its premature (last post of the day)
  9. £27m left to pay. £17m of that is being paid off with our Sky payment due any day now. Leaves £10m Nugent to some mug hopefully for £4m, Belhadj or Utaka off somewhere else and bingo debt free.
  10. POMPEY COMPLETE DEAL FOR BELGIAN INTERNATIONAL Pompey have completed a deal to bring Belgian International defender Anthony Vanden Borre to Fratton Park. The quay understands the 21 year-old has penned a year-long loan deal with a view to a permanent move next summer for €3m The Blues won't be able to unveil the right-back, who can also play in midfield, until he returns from International duty later in the week. Pompey are also said to be attempting to sign Rennes attacking midfielder Olivier Thomert.

Seems like a lot of money for a guy who is 28 this season.
  13. Your Ajax attendance included the free tickets you got with you ST renewals....hardly rocket science is it
  14. Being a nice chap that I am. Carsten Jancker is currently unattached
  15. Bit of double standards there in my eyes. When times were good and you thought you could afford it you boys paid £30mish for a stadium however within a couple of years you get relegated and your income streams drop significantly and you struggle to balance the books which as well all know resulted in admin for you and ML taking you over for £12m odd and now being debt free. I am sure clubs (like Pompey for one) are looking at Southampton and saying jammy bastards as they have bought a decent stadium for around £10m which is a tad cheaper than the market rate and now have the benefits of being able to entice punters with appropriate pricing to maximise th ecapacity you have. So in a nutshell, Southampton spent on infrastructure and came out with a stadium after admin and Portsmouth spent heavlly on players and have come out with there name on the FA Cup, being brutally honest I would much rather have invested the money we spent on infrastructure at Portsmouth rather than the players pockets but we have seen some fine footballers over these past 3 years. So before you start pointing the finger at others I suggest you reflect on how you have overextended yourselves and come through rosey at the other end.

last post of the day: But isnt relegation what the majority of southampton fans have been wanting to happen to Pompey for the last gods knows how many years to let the "natural" order of things happen again. Well see what happens, you boys have got to get out of league one first which is a hard enough task in itself.

I think the tide has actually turned a little in view of our financial predicament which is one of the few things that he said was true however he would have been viewed as Legend forever if he actually bothered to stick through the pain with us rather than jump ship at the earliest opportunity. Lets face it he generally gets his teams playing for him which would have come in handy but I can see his going might have turned out to be a blessing in disguise as if he had stayed would as many players have wanted to leave? But we are in serious do do, I dont think we will go out of business all together but we might have a younger team than you did last year and playing in a far harder league Which will only result in one thing, the big R. But nothing we can do other than hope Fahims takeover happens and other people deliver some serious quality otherwise its going to be a lllllloooooonnnnnnggggggg way to Xmas

And I think you will find that attitude came because of your lot mostly giving us abuse and laughing when we were in admin and near extinction.
