  1. Church Island was a very nice winner ! Paco Boy turned out to be just about the only good thing of the day though I did NAP Sands Crooner who ran well to finish 2nd at 8/1 and also Ezdeeyad which finished just in the places though the price collapsed from the early 14/1 into 9/2 not that I was worried having got the early price. Somehow, more by luck than judgement, managed to pick Backspin who won at 7/1 at Punchestown but had not 1p on it ! I mentioned Bothy as a NR before you posted it hence my going for My Arch which was another which ran well but 2nd at 6/1. All in all a typical Saturday and today is a day of rest as may be tomorrow which doesn't look inspiring. No idea of today's results ( other than Kip's "bad luck" with a 2nd) so hope it was a good one Cheers, Chris
  2. Durham win by 5 wickets.
  3. He's a very good bowler, 440 wickets at an average of 26.79 playing for what was not a very good Worcestshire side.
  4. 6 more needed, indeed not a good start. Will be nice to get Lumb back as well as Dimi and Herath, should make a big difference.
  5. Is it though? Apart from Dimi and Herath if he ever turns up who else do we have. Jones clearly needs to work still on his fitness and I assume Cork is mainly going to play one dayers.
  6. 27 needed off 7 overs I believe, looks very comfortable.
  7. Enough I think for Durham to win !
  8. 216/5, finally got rid of Blackwell though not before he made 62 off 40 balls. Briggs bowling well, 3-45 as is Tomlinson ( 2-20) but nothing from the rest who are proving expensive.
  9. 190/4 off 43 overs. By my calculations I believe they have 57 overs so 70 off 14 needed.. I think !
  10. Durham are cruising, 184-3 and only 76 needed. Defeat beckons again. At this rate we'll be battling relegation again
  11. No, that was 78/2 !
  12. My thoughts exactly, I think he wants to stay.
  13. Yessssssssssss !!
  14. What's it got to be do with me kipper :smt102
  15. Thanks, I can hear plenty of noise from Vicarage Road, someone ( I suspect Watford) has just scored there !
  16. Have we scored
  17. Very interesting, Hants all out for 298 ( vital 30 put on for last wicket). Durham 78/2 at tea chasing 260. Briggs removed Smith in last over before tea. Shades of our game v Essex ?
  18. Hants 234-6, Pothas 72*, Ervine 4*. Lead of 195.
  19. TBH I've known that for as long as I've known Kipper, 3 years + ?
  20. Ok, final bets for today, all at decent odds: Ripon 2.50 Sands Crooner 11/2- Going to be my NAP at that price. Haydock 6.00 Monalini ew at 14/1 Haydock 6.35 Una Petola at 8/1 Haydock 7.05 Ezdayaad ew - at 14/1 (Coral)
  21. Punchestown Nothing really stands out for me here, maybe Agus A Vic tipped up by Gary O'Brien. However, for the sake of the free ATR tipping challenge I've gone for: 14:30 Irish Field Chase 10 points to win on Royal Blood at SP 15:10 Irish Thoroughbred Breeders Association Fillies Scheme E.B.F. Mares Hurdle (Grade 3) 10 points to win on Tramp Stamp at 12/1 15:45 Eventus Marquees Novice Chase 15 points to win on Agglestone Rock at 11/2 16:25 Airshow 100 Champion Four Year Old Hurdle (grade 1) 15 points to win on Carlito Brigante at 2/1 17:00 Tulfarris Hotel and Golf Resort Pat Taaffe Handicap Chase (0-145) (Grade B) 15 points to win on Agus A Vic at 6/1 17:35 http://www.thetote.com Hurdle (0-145) (grade B) 10 points to win on Radium at 12/1 18:10 Irish Sun (pro/am) Flat Race 15 points to win on Backspin at 7/1 18:40 Diageo Ireland Punchestown Charity Sweepstakes 10 points to win on Force Of Habit at SP
  22. Well I've gone for Paco Boy, Frankie for Prince of Dance which I suspect will be the main danger. For me Paco Boy looks hard to oppose but at around 5/4 I'd not be inclined to have too much on him.
  23. Ok, I couldn't find it but if it is priced up placing the bet should be no problem ! Ah yes, I have it so £10 double returns £375.
  24. Well Skybet do go 13/2 on Pompey getting relegated as I think has been mentioned. However, I'm pretty sure they have not priced up League 1 for next season so if I was looking to place a bet I'd phone them and try to get a price.
  25. Ripon 2 races live on CH4 though not easy to figure out especially with my 2 initial fancies Capercaillie( 2.15) and Bothy ( 3.25) both non runners so a waste of time that was. However, back to the drawing board and we have.. 2.15 The Only Boss:A very tricky race, The Only Boss is a physically imposing type who made giant strides as a juvenile and looks worth supporting now going handicapping. Midnight Martini and Comedy Hall are others worth considering. 3.25 My Arch : Again not a race to get really involved in if at all. However, My Arch best known for exploits over jumps in recent years showed he could still mix it on the Flat when gamely landing 2m handicap at Musselburgh recently and fair claims again from 3 lb higher. However, really hard to discount anything in this race which would go into my book as "next to impossible ! "
