  1. Sandown 2.00 Catch Bob ew : Catch Bob may have more to come over this trip and shouldnt be too far away with Graham Lee taking over the reins. 8/1 looks a fair enough price. Sandown 2.30 Twist Magic: Try as I might I can't get away from this quirky horse which refused to run at Punchestown earlier this week. However, has excellent record over C&D, winning this last year as well as the Tingle Creek twice. Undoubtedly the one to beat if in mood.
  2. A few early thoughts : Sandown: 3.05 The Package ew : Disappointed at Aintree but an unlucky loser IMO at the Cheltenham Festival. Timmy Murphy, who knows the horse well, is back in the plate today and I'd expect a good run today, 9/1 looks good value. 3.40 Paco Boy : Not an original selection but Richard Hannon has a tremendous record in the Bet365 Mile and Paco Boy returns in a bid to make it back-to-back wins in the race. Unbeaten at 7f, including in the Group 1 Total Prix De La Foret at Longchamps, the five-year-old has also proved himself very effective over a mile. He won this Sandown race cosily last year but was more impressive in the Queen Anne Stakes, where he left the field for dead with a powerful burst of acceleration before the furlong pole. His two flops in 2009 were easily explained, particularly in the Lockinge when it was found he had an infected off-fore hoof. Hannon has a big season planned for Paco Boy, taking in the Lockinge and Queen Anne Stakes again and the yard could not be in better form at present. Leicester 3.35 Alyarf : Barry Hills has won two of the last four runnings of the Listed Leicestershire Stakes and Alyarf has been laid out for this year's renewal. Well regarded, the US-bred has Group entries at York next month, including in the Lockinge Stakes and the Golden Jubilee Stakes at Ascot is also an option. He has speed to burn and was impressive in winning a Listed race at Newmarket last May. Now a four-year-old, he is very lightly-campaigned, capable of smart form and this race should be perfect en route to better things. Not a great price at around Evens but does look to be the one to beat.

  5. If we can manage to take Pompeys place in the EUFA Cup we can win that as well !!
  6. Yep, I generally concentrate on the CH4 races just for a bit of interest, would rather be at SMS but the journey from here by tube and coach/train is a nightmare. Took me EIGHT hours to get down at Xmas ! So my "home" games are places like Milton Keynes, Northampton and of course my favourite Wembley If you are on here early enough which I guess you will be I don't know if you read my Betfair thread but this is definitely worth doing for a free chance of a £50 bet, my picks of Barca, Real, Inter, Werder Bremen and Benifica are all very short so I should have a decent chance. Well that's the theory anyway ! http://www.facebook.com/Betfair?v=wall&story_fbid=117075498310362 Enjoy the game tomorrow. Cheers, Chris
  7. Probably true but mine still holds regular surgeries for those with complaints and I'd imagine still has a fair bit of clout.
  8. I got £600+ back in 2007 so it's well worth the effort.
  9. That is simply ridiculous, the only way to get anywhere with the bl**dy Jobcentre is just to complain to all and sundry including your MP. If he/she is like mine they soon get their asses into gear! As for the crisis loan it's rare they turn it down unless you tell them say it's for booze or cigarettes ! As for Manpower and other agencies I really wouldn't bother. That said applying for 5 jobs in 7 weeks probably breaks your Jobseekers Agreement ( normally you have to apply for 2/3 per week) so even when they do decide to start paying you they probably won't as you you could well be in breach of the terms of the agreement !! Simplest way around it is to keep a written record ( which they normally insist on anyway even though there is no legal obligation to keep such a record, a verbal account is enough) and just stick down you applied to X, Y and Z even if you didn't The only good news is unless you are self employed you can't actually owe NIC !
  10. Well you won't win much placing 50p TBH ! Don't lose this though as I agree 100%, that in itself must be a first
  11. What on earth are you two babbling on about :smt102. Do you come from a different planet to the rest of us !
  12. No, I think you'll find once we have signed Messi, Rooney, Ronaldo and Torres we'll be 1/100
  13. Amazing, I was listening to that song just a few minutes ago. T'is pretty appropriate "You’ll never live like common people, you’ll never do what common people do, you’ll never fail like common people, you’ll never watch your life slide out of view, and dance and drink and screw because there’s nothing else to do. I want to live with common people like you, etc."

  15. As is your prerogative of course as indeed I too agree and disagree with you.
  16. I agreed totally with your comment that the play offs are best we can hope for, rubbish ! However, equally I totally disagree on Davis. Keeping him was an excellent piece of work by Pardew and Co.
  17. Lambert for sure though I agree a number of players have done very well.
  18. A result looks on the cards, Hants 174/5 have a lead of 135. Pothas still there on 30, Ervine still to come. A lead of 250 would make it interesting. Kabir Ali finished with 5/98 as Durham ended on 384.
  19. Not that surprised, they were awful last week at Sheffield, their excellent defensive record has gone to pot. Still might as well have a bad run now. I'm sure Maguire will have plenty to say !
  20. Foolish, foolish boy !
  21. It will, please, please don't touch our tips with a barge pole!
  22. Oh boy, I thought Gaspara and the jockey were desperately unlucky. There was clearly a screen up just behind the fence and someone waving a flag. Have to say anyone who backed Gaspara should at least get their stake money back, of course some bookies ( though on the whole not those online) do pay 1st past the post even if it is disqualified. What a shambles !
  23. Not enough would be my guess ! Not just picking winners but excellent analysis from you and mine is ok on a good day It always helps to know why someone is selecting a horse excepting of course time constraints. Luckily I had a totally free day today, it helps. Haven't yet seen the Gaspara race so going to watch it now WITHOUT a cup of tea in my hand Cheers, Chris
  24. Thanks Frankie, let's blow our own trumpets. The Boys done well !! Chris
