Lol, but you know who might be inside soon, won't pay his Council Tax
-
I'm sure your son talks a lot more sense than you anyway But these calls are a damned nuisance so I do use caller display and any number I don't recognise or more likely no number given I don't answer, got no 5 year old to pass the phone to !
-
I think you might be right, looked plenty good enough.
-
It was indeed tough to beat but lost out in a photo having been 1/12 to take the race ! Whoever called the winner has certainly got better eyesight than me lol
-
Quite probably, 298/8.
-
Possibly and just one reason why I'm totally convinced there is too much one day cricket. If they were going to do away with 50 overs a side then just drop that competition and have 4 day games and 20/20. That way those who enjoy the longer format like quite a few of us should get enough "proper" cricket and those who enjoy 20/20 will get their fix. Just how boring is the IPL
-
Oh, it was you put the mockers on
-
Wishful thinking but maybe the pitch isn't that good after all ! Hard to explain why year after year we seem to collapse like this, a middle order of McKenzie, Benham, Pothas and Ervine isn't that shabby though I'm not sure Kabir Ali is a no 8 ?

Lol, he won !!! Cill Rialaig ran a decent race to finish 4th. A good race but Alainmaar looks a good horse, won comfortably once getting to the front.

A few more mentions : Perth 14:45 - Possol 10/11 Should win but short enough. Catterick 15:10 - Firetrap 6/1 : Should improve for recent outing, 6/1 looks a fair price. Elegant Dancer, the likely favourite, has not run for nearly a year so likely to need this outing. 16.05 - Epsom – Cill Rialaig 8/1 : Had a good word for this but not going to abandon my NAP ! Perth 16:30 - Nedzer's Return 4/1 : Relatively unexposed and trainer does well here, one to consider. Brave Rebellion runs in blinkers for the 1st time, probably one to look out for but 14/1 looks a fair price for a horse that won last time out albeit this race more competitive. Perth 17.05 - Ravensbill 8/1 : With doubts about Caulkin ( as above) Ravensbill is by no means out of it having ran well under restraint at Ayr lto when finishing 4th. Could well be open to improvement. Perth 17.40 - Deep Squeeze 4/1 : A competitive little race but Deep Squeeze is another likely to progress from his first run of the season when finishing 3rd at Carlisle at 10/1 back at the end of the March. 17.55 - Catterick – Neos Mate - 12/1 (various firms) : Twice winner over C&D, problems last time out, think saddle slipped ? Could be worth a small ew bet at a decent price.

Really ? I'd never have known !

Both Lambert and Fonte signed knowing promotion this season was a long shot, why would they do that and then leave when we don't get promoted :smt102

Hants won toss and will bat. Teams: Hampshire team JHK Adams, MA Carberry, JM Vince, ND McKenzie, CC Benham, N Pothas*†, SM Ervine, Kabir Ali, JA Tomlinson, DR Briggs, DA Griffiths Durham team MJ Di Venuto, KJ Coetzer, WR Smith*, DM Benkenstein, ID Blackwell, BA Stokes, P Mustard†, LE Plunkett, CD Thorp, ME Claydon, M Davies So still no Rangana Herath, is he playing in the 20/20 WC ?

I believe we will give priority to the League next season, I doubt if we had not been on -10 and then had a bad start which all but ended our promotion hopes ( done well to still be in with a shout IMO) and made so many new signings we would have played such strong teams and especially in the JPT. However, getting the players playing together but perhaps more importantly getting the winning mentality was very important so I've no problems with the teams we've fielded though I'm sure next season players like Lambert and Lallana ( both of whom I expect to be here along with Fonte and Morgan, indeed pretty much most of our squad) will be rested for cup games. If we lose anyone it will only be because they want to leave or we receive an offer too good to refuse and even then I expect several very good quality signings and our squad to be even stronger. I don't believe I'm the only one who has enjoyed this season after the misery of the past few years and one man I really want to stay is Pardew, no doubt at all in my mind he's the man to take us forward. I know others disagree, your prerogative but in 45 years of supporting Saints we've not had too many better managers, Ted Bates and LM for sure, maybe WGS though I'm not as enthusiastic as some about him albeit I liked him as a manager and a person, the same thing I can say about AP.

4 decent winners yesterday, how many did I post on here ? None of course ! So I'm reluctant to post my best bet on here but trying to lay the jinx: Perth 4.05 Alainmaar NAP : Been a frustrating horse to follow until recently not having raced but finally got on course last summer and won nicely at Newmarket back in October. Likely to have bags of scope for improvement and very good pedigree ( the sire won a Breeders Cup). Is definitely the one to beat ! Otherwise : Catterick 2.35 Magic Omen : A worthy favourite, no great price at around 11/8 but is going to be tough to beat. Perth 3.20 Barcadero: Only 4 runners but a very trappy race. However, at 4/1 the selection looks decent value, the trainer ( Gordon Elliott) tends to do well here. Perth 5.05 : Unlikely to be having a bet here but if I had to I'd go with Caulkin( or maybe not!) who has shown ability but not sure about his jumping. Kempton 8.20 : Looks to be between the top 2 in the market, Hypnotised and Bohemian Melody. Slight preference for Bohemian Melody who won over 7f last month and trainer in decent form. Probably a race to avoid from the betting angle though. Kempton 9.20 Riflessione : Won at Wolverhampton last month and a horse I've always liked. Up against another recent winner in Replicator and this is a tough race so I've just had a small ew bet at Skybet at 13/2 which looks good value. Good luck all !

Despite his bowling being expensive at times Ervine generally scores good points, all rounder of course but also takes his share of catches.
-
No free ones I guess though there must be a few for the 20/20 WC ?
-
Ah, nearly missed your sarcasm, not been on for a while (flu) !!
-
In the same way my wins should be done as lays you mean
-
I'll probably put the mockers on it Frankie but I like Red Gulch, been well backed but anything like 2/1 is a decent price for a horse that looks very progressive. Ran green last time out but still won. Good luck ! Chris PS Wrote that without looking at your comments so we're on the same page at least!

5.20 - Wolverhampton - Shandelight - Available at 8/1 (William Hill) A competitive Apprentice handicap and one in which Shandelight could return to form. This is only her third start for her current Trainer and those three runs have come after a 14 month break from the track. She went down less than a length to Ghufa in a Seller in the first of those and meets that rival on the same terms today. She followed that with a better effort when running out a winner of a C/D handicap from a mark of 50 in February. Up seven pounds she disappointed over 14 furlongs here two weeks later but could be seen in a better light dropped back in trip after a break here. She has a competent jockey on board and her current handler appears to have improved her enough to make a mark of 56 manageable. 6.55 - Towcester - Mauritino - Available at 3/1 (General) A winner of 6 of his 16 starts on the flat in Germany, Mauritino has failed to make the frame in three Maiden/Novice hurdle races on these shores. However he has taken on some fair opposition and the ground has been soft/heavy on each occasion. All his form on the level came in good ground so the quicker conditions today could see him return an improved performance. His initial mark for this handicap debut requires a step forward but his powerful, in form yard are adept at placing their horses for their first outing in handicap company. The selection shoulders top weight but this isn't a strong race and the yard's 24% strike rate (£55 l.s.p) is a testament to the fact they don't often leave here empty handed. Mauritino is their only representative at the races today. 7.10 - Brighton - Golden Rock - Available at 7/1 (Sportingbet) Disappointed in three handicaps to date but two of those three races came in soft/heavy ground and he wasn't totally disgraced in a stronger race in the other. His fitness has to be taken on trust but the yard have hit for in the past week or so. Golden Rock is down to a mark of 70 and, judged on the balance of his maiden form, that looks reasonable. That Maiden form came on fast ground so a return to quicker condition today could suit and this looks his easiest handicap assignment so far. The yard send just the one to a track where they have a 43% strike rate (6 from 14) in recent seasons, although the selection is the first older horses they have run here in that time.

I see £1600 slipping away Kip

A couple of decent winners in amongst the dross !
-
Of course, we all know you hate backing winners !
