I'd take him back on loan for rest of the season in a heartbeat. nothing to do with sentimentality. It's simply that when Pelle is not on the pitch we have absolutely no link up play at all. Lambert would solve a major squad deficiency. Someone on here mentioned his England career - there is no way he's going to get picked ahead of Kane, Austin and Carroll for the next squad.

It actually makes it easier - focusses the mind and there's not so much going on between the games so it makes the opening section shorter...
