Debate needed on veils in some public places, says minister
solentstars replied to holepuncture's topic in The Lounge
just having abit of fun barry but has its a term i find used by a lot of people in the uk with a axe to grind for their pet hates.i agree that all our party leaders are member of the liberal elite and have been for years but liberal elite has different meanings in australia and the usa where its often linked with neo consertives and free markets. -

good post and a good analysis of current political scene and i agree with judges comments on the case he is involved with.....it always makes me laugh when people moan about the liberal elite but forget to mention that saudi arabia, the taliban and al Qaeda are extreme conservatives and.despite some people moaning i,m glad that west in general we live in liberal society where we can have free speech and disagree with each other. -

Got to agree and reading the fantasy about bankers it sounds like a dream world posting. engineers and scientists I respect and have worked with loads of engineers and I never knew any not to have holidays because by law you have to, and I expect his teacher wife prefers teaching gifted kids has its easier for her .I know of kids who have been written of has failures by so called lazy teachers and gone to other schools and ended up going to university because the teachers were very good. bloody unions fancy expecting working people to expect pay rises and decent conditions they should know there place, the way ahead is make the super rich richer and all the productive people like bankers.derivative traders and big business the backbone of the uk not pay any tax at all , its called trickle down economics .those working people are lucky to have a job maybe we can go back to the days when you bid for a job and do away with the minimum wage
-
thought we did ok and it was a Close game that could have gone either way and it was a good sign that we can go away and perform like that before we would have been under the cosh when playing away. good signs but side still looks like work in progress.

if you read my post I did say Southampton city council got the stadium built and sisu were a big help at the time unfortunately eastleigh were happy to allow Hampshire cricket club to build a fantastic ground without fuss and have even helped out on the new Hilton hotel being built double standards I would say. yes it was but at the end it was suggested 38,000 but was scuppered has they would not allow the hotel and other add ons so lowe pulled the plug has it could not cover the costs without those but the labour run southampton city council stepped in and saved the day with help and guidance to get it built at st marys.
