  2. well hes deputy pm and knew the negotiating tactics of the cabinet and it looks like he has been deceived by cameron or he would have given his wholehearted support for the outcome which to date he will not answer.

  4. agree watched 2 hours of waffle from both sides with no answers but seeing nick clegg not being there told me that cameron has mucked up big time and he could not support the pm..

  9. thats basically what rifking and brittain senior right wingers with experience of dealing in europe have said .
  10. your like me a independant its a pity more people were like that than following there own team red blue or orange,.i agree germany is the winner and it has always believed in sound money and can see frankfurt over the longer term replaceing the city has the place to do business because dave has run off home crying with his ball and left the city exposed over the longer term.
  11. i always thought light touch" regulation of the banks and the city was what what the free market was all about .its funny seeing someone of the right asking for left wing ides of more regulations of the very people who caused the worldwide recession the banks with wall street and the city who have cost us taxpayers a fortune with their fake profits and greed of lining their own pockets.
  12. sums it up for me and the analogy is spot on .
  13. at first i thought cameron was right to use the veto but after listening to malcolm rifkind and Leon Brittan both tory politicians of the right involved with europe of maggies governments i have now realized how pathetic camerons government has behaved and incompetent it was over europe.watching the french and german satellite news programs they were talking about the euro and how to resolve it not one mentioned anything about britain except it had used its veto and would be the only member not involved in the shapeing of future rules which may effect the city of london so they are not worried if we want to sit on the sidelines doing nothing.i cannot see what we gain by being on our own.i can see has time gos by how silly our position will become and can see the coalition splitting and civil war in the tory party over europe which will lead to a return of a labour government.
  14. i agree and its not a matter of in out but alot of factors need to be taken into account like what happens to our car industry and suppliers alot which are german french japanese owned if we left the single market i expect they would they move to the eurozone.hopefully it will be resolved sooner than later and we can get on the real business of getting the unemployed back to work and growth based on sound money.
  15. i suppose thats the price hobos pay for going threw the bins:)its hard to change old habits
  16. good post and if we want more say we need to outdo the germans and becoming a economic powerhouse and not rely just on financial services and start making things again and export around the world and invest and have long term planning.
  17. ha ha i expect its true and by this time next week something else wiill be on peoples minds to moan about apart from the most committed for and against europe or the euro i expect the vast majority have more important things going on with their lives and has someone from the 1970s since we joined i seen my lifestyle improve fantastically from those days before we were outside and we have never had it so good in this country.it seems people forget we are the 6 th richest country in the world.
  18. who knows has someone who remembers the vote when it was a labour party who wanted us out and the conservatives were pro europe most people at the time wanted us out then but when the reality of what may happen and big business funding the yes campaign "suprise suprise we voted to stay in"people then thought was the effect on there jobs and the reality of what is at stake effected them.
  19. cameron knows his party has a large rump of euro sceptics and so he has his own position to consider so he has to balance that and all prime ministers since 1970s have taken the national interest into account even thatcher a so called euro sceptic signed up to the single europeon act which was a massive transfer of sovereignty .
  20. europe has not stopped the germans and french etc trading world wide with the powerhouse economys and it and has more to do with our own failures and lack of making goods to sell world wide.
  21. i think its a negotiating strategy and the games not over and i expect a compromise will happen at some point in time and has what has happened in the past.
  22. i think its more likely the euro lunatics of the tory right will split the tory party has they have never been team players which will lead to a labour party back in power thats why cameron has the liberal democrats has partners to stop the euro nutters wing of his party trying to dictate policy.of course there is some moderate type euro scepticsin in the tory party but the bill cashs and nadine norriss of this world are just barking mad.
  23. good post as one commenter said today even gorden brown would behaved the same has cameron just like all our prime ministers have looked after the national interest despite the nutty right dads army of the conservative party who despise cameron for his common sense and liberal views and will try to foist there weird agenda on him.
  24. agree and i think its not going to help and bring in someone to buy the club till they know what division they will be in.so i,m happy they are in a catch 22 position.
  25. did not expect them to get any points deduction today has they have to have all the facts before they make a decission,if you remember our points deduction took along time for them to reach and anyway no ones going to buy pompey till they make a decission which hinders any takeover of the club and its not a good position for the club to be in.
