  1. To add to this, the 2 games a week we’ve had since before Christmas would’ve made making any significant changes to formation etc very difficult to achieve in one day on the grass. When given the time to prepare the team Russell and the rest of the coaching staff have done a superb job…. just need to do it one more time.
  2. Not sure what point you’re trying to make. Anyway, for clarity, the club hired Russell because of his style of play.
  3. Yeah Baggies were disappointing, not playing Assante (sp?) at least up top was very strange, they had no pace and clearly came for the set pieces. Many ways to skin a cat and all that. If Che plays, it feels like we're more wedded to a front 3 than the fluid 2 of Arma and Brooks - even though Brooks played more a 10 than an out and out striker. There's no way Arma's not playing, playing a front 2 of Che and Arma will be what the Leeds cloggers at the back would rather see. We changed formation many times on Friday, more than I can ever remember us doing so. Leeds strength is their front 3 and Piroe playing off them, we'll need a spare man at the back either Jan or THB, and I can see Stephens being told to sit on Piroe or at least in that space he tends to occupy.
  4. The starting 11 on Friday offered so much quality and flexibility in formation, I wouldn't be surprised at all if that's what we go with; even if Che is fit.
  5. I don’t get the media love in for Corboran, he’s alright but the media are balls deep on him. He talked a lot of bollox at the end to, “team unable to find any fluidity” No fucking surprise given the 5-4-1 formation he put up, essentially nullifying their best player. He was also schooled by Russell and the staff over both legs.
  6. Russell smashed Carlos off the park tonight. Totally dominated, switched between 3 formations, snuffed out their midfield. Stephens was immense, sat in front of Jan and Bellisimo giving Flynn a bit more licence to drive forward. Switched to left back allowing Wee Man to push on. Brilliant game from Shoehorn.
  7. I think we start 4-3-3 tonight, make the most of a huge atmosphere in the ground. I’d be surprised if the Baggies went for it early too, most likely they will look to contain and hit us on the break. Macca King Walker Peters - Jan - Bellísimo - Stephens Smallbonio - Flynniesta - Joe Arma - Che 🤞 - Wee Man
  8. 100%. The first leg was the previous biggest game of his career. He did alright in that.
  9. We should go into this game with a WINNERSh mindset
  10. Username does not check out….
  11. Stick a vpn on your machine. I find NordVPN does the trick nicely.
  12. Yep and for the record, AMc wouldn’t have saved it either 😂
  13. Spot on. We’re good enough to win this, now they just need to make it happen.
  14. I know, hard to believe, right?
  15. Let's hope their interest is still strong on Saturday morning.
  16. We did what we needed to do on Sunday. I'm very confident that if the performance is spot on we win this game.
  17. Like we did on the 2 previous meetings
  18. Amazing comparison between GB and AMc.
  19. You’re looking for a number at the other end of the keyboard.
  20. There’s been nothing from McCarthy in the games he’s played since Gavin’s injury to show he’s a better keeper. In fact we look piss poor in possession in our defensive third and the out balls to wide players is woeful.
  21. The saves McCarthy made on Sunday are exactly the type Bazunu makes all day. They were hardly amazing. Not sure why your judgement is so clouded on this. Peculiar.
  22. He's also not as bad as many are making out on here. Another day he scores a cracking overhead kick from the only half chance that fell to him. His press was ok, forcing WBA into tight areas or to go long. I do worry about his demeanour, he doesn't look like he's in a good place at the moment. If Che continues to be out then Sekou plays the first 60 minutes on Friday.
  23. Well... one for the money
  24. THB still has a lot to learn to be successful in the premier league. If we don’t end up being promoted another season at the top end of the championship wouldn’t be the worse thing for him.
