  1. We did what we needed to do on Sunday. I'm very confident that if the performance is spot on we win this game.
  2. Like we did on the 2 previous meetings
  3. Amazing comparison between GB and AMc.
  4. You’re looking for a number at the other end of the keyboard.
  5. There’s been nothing from McCarthy in the games he’s played since Gavin’s injury to show he’s a better keeper. In fact we look piss poor in possession in our defensive third and the out balls to wide players is woeful.
  6. The saves McCarthy made on Sunday are exactly the type Bazunu makes all day. They were hardly amazing. Not sure why your judgement is so clouded on this. Peculiar.
  7. He's also not as bad as many are making out on here. Another day he scores a cracking overhead kick from the only half chance that fell to him. His press was ok, forcing WBA into tight areas or to go long. I do worry about his demeanour, he doesn't look like he's in a good place at the moment. If Che continues to be out then Sekou plays the first 60 minutes on Friday.
  8. Well... one for the money
  9. THB still has a lot to learn to be successful in the premier league. If we don’t end up being promoted another season at the top end of the championship wouldn’t be the worse thing for him.
  10. No.
  11. It was obviously going to be Mara if Adams was out. 2 up top will suit Sekou.
  12. Mara and Armstrong up top, if Che is unable to start.
  13. You do know that Leicester won the league with an average of 62% possession, right?
  14. Not as weird as continuing to comment on a manager on another team’s forum a year after he left your team. Anyway, I’d bet that “penny” that the vast majority of our wins have come when we’ve dominated possession.
  15. Shocked to read that Hull have sacked Rosenior. Minimum expectation the Hull owners had this season was top 10, that would’ve shown further progression building on their previous season. Hard knock for Rosenior hope he gets a club that will value him.
  16. A change in formation was an excellent use of time on the training ground, time that before this week they’ve had previous little of in the past 6 weeks. Now WBA won’t know which formation to prepare for and we have the option of in game switching between a back 3 or 4. Love it.
  17. Aye, different strokes for different folks… and all that
  18. As the game has seen all too often, player pedigree does not necessarily equal managerial success.
  19. To be fair he was recruited because of his way of playing the game.
  20. Don't get me wrong, I'm reasonably happy with 4th, considering the state our club was in when RM took over just under a year ago. He's done a decent job. Many would've failed to do as good a job. He's not perfect, but overall he's delivered a style of play that I enjoy watching (granted I'm in the minority on this forum), we've scored some magnificent goals, we've also defended like clowns at times and we've failed to put the game to bed on too many occasions. As I said not perfect but not enough to assume that next season this all goes to rat shit as many on here would have us believe and you seemingly are here to fan the flames of this rhetoric which I find a little odd but hey, there's nowt as queer as folk.
  21. Mystic Mickey and his Laughing Emojis; what a time to be alive.
  22. Setting yourself up for a massive disappointment. Can’t see RM being asked to leave anytime soon and he’s probably not quite hitting the top of the list of Premier League clubs looking for a new manager.
  23. Not really, I said they were experienced not successful.
  24. Probably not and I'm sure my judgement is clouded somewhat by frustration but these are both experienced (albeit not successful) Premier League strikers.
  25. The timing of the goals plays a part too. How many games have we completely dominated for 60 minutes only to walk away with 1 point or less? Probably the biggest frustration of the season for me. Ultimately, we lose points because we concede a goal or 2 but how many times should we have been 2 or even 3 clear? We've been unable to put the "game to bed" and equally unable to hold on as often as we should have. We've also taken some hammerings along the way, I don't have the stats but gut feel is we've lost by 3 goals or higher, more often than rest of the top 6 or 10. We have taken the lead at some point in 35 out of 45 games this season, only Lester have led more games than us (36). We've only won 25 of the 35 games we've taken the lead in, Lester have won 31. Our average points gained when leading during a game is the 9th best in the league.
