I find the defensive nature of the England team very disappointing. 4-2-3-1 v a Bosnia 4-5-1, fuck me, tedious bollox. I’d love to see us go a 4-1-4-1. 2 full backs: TAA and Shaw inverted. One CDM who can slot in between the 2 CBs, probably Rice. Kane in front of Bellingham, Foden, Palmer and Saka. That front 5 will scare the shit out of Europe.

From a goal kick restart, a couple of recycles, patience from Bellisimo before sliding the ball into Flynniesta, a stunning first time pass to Smallbonio, who in turn megs Firpo (I think) through to Arma to finish like R9. Understandable but equally sad to see such vitriol towards a former player who left us 10 years ago. What I don't think we truly know is the club's side of Adam's exit, we know they put out a curt departure notice which I thought that lacked class. I don't blame any professional looking to further themselves, especially if that's vindicated by winners medals. Adam didn't have to put a notice in the Echo; but he felt he needed to - let's be clear he gained nothing from that and I believe the message came from a good place. If Adam does rejoin us, we should judge him on what he does for us from this summer onwards. And if he does join, I hope the club are really clear in what capacity.

Lallana has had a great career. It was disappointing how he left but for me, a lot of water has passed under the bridge now. It was interesting that when Brighton were in between managers he stepped in to run the first team as the senior pro and the feedback on that time was very positive. Coaching / managing does seem to be his future.

Agreed. He also deserves our patience during the early stages of next season. He’s getting better and better, shown a real talent in building the foundations of our new identity and as someone has said he is a class act, on and off the pitch.
