  1. Brentford are one of the most aggressive pressing teams in the league, it’s a huge part of their strategy. It doesn’t always work for them, they go on runs of defeats too.
  2. Is this a theory that you’ve concocted?
  3. I’m extremely confident that there’s a chance that mistakes may not be seen as often…
  4. I think there’s a chance that the mistakes we have seen in the 3 league games so far may not occur as often going forward. Time will tell.
  5. Which users were they?
  6. Agreed, that’s why I’ve thought for quite some time that your nickname should be Splinters not Trousers. 😉 Opinions are like arseholes… and I’m not saying that in a condescending or scoffing at way, because if you knew me you’d know that’s not my style. I do find the extreme versions of opinions laughable and probably waste more of my time on them than I should. Equally I’ve been called some very unpleasant things on here, that doesn’t bother me in the slightest, I’d rather engage in a way of mutual respect but that’s not always the case.
  7. One below expected performance level v Forest, disappointing that was at home to a possible relegation rival. Some piss poor ball retention in crucial areas where we were punished and some sloppy finishing. The starting XI is evolving to a point where we could see Ramsdale, ABK, Sugawara, Taylor, Ugochuckwu, Cornet, Lallana, Archer and Diaz (although formation may dictate otherwise 🤔😂). This number of changes would take some time to bed in to any team, no matter what the philosophy / style of play. Give it a chance. It’s been 3 games. We’re going to have to stay positive to give this team the opportunity. Awaits the hilarious riposte of “thanks Russ” or “is that you Lucy?”
  8. Except when “you get away with it” as so many here state whilst pissing on last season’s achievement.
  9. I like this version of Charlie… and to add to the points… that fucking dog shit pass from Stephens followed by him taking Jan’s space was such a basic, fundamental error that it would’ve been punished in pretty much every level of football, not just in the Premier League.
  10. When fact meets subjective opinion… FIGHT!! 😂
  11. I’m sure you’ve gotten to your stage in life by being more respectful. Many shit goals are scored, many average goals are scored, some by possession some by sticking it in the mixer. The winning goal in the final was possession based.
  12. I know it was only Cardiff but ABKs presence on the pitch was really good to see. There’s been a lot shit chucked in his direction, I’m not sure how much of that was truly warranted. If he gets back in the team, he could make a big difference.
  13. The goal was all about possession, impossible to argue against that. You can “what if” all you like, finals are generally tight affairs, we absolutely deserved to win that match and the only stat that really counts backs that up.
  14. You do remember the goal we scored at Wembley, you know, the one where possession was kept from defence, through midfield, perfect through ball and cool finish - we scored many goals like that through the season. There was no ditching of style, a tweak to the formation yes but the principles remained the same.
  15. As eloquent and insightful as ever.
  16. Blatant fishing. Lock thread.
  17. Agreed. Many similar faces that publicly shat themselves on this forum last September are back, after 3 league games.
  18. Make your mind up. Invite the press or don’t??
  19. Yeah on the back of the rock solid argument of “promoted in spite of him”. Your legendary status on here continues at a great pace. Keep up the good work.
  20. Incorrect. De Zerbi invited the press to a level never seen before in football.
  21. Cool, you’ve just kissed goodbye to Poch, Koeman and even WGS.
  22. De Zerbi’s Brighton were a great example of what?
  23. Sorry mate, is this opinion or fact? As far as I’m aware it can’t be fact as I don’t think you’re a player or part of the coaching staff.
  24. I was stating that your opinion may not be as watertight as you may think.
  25. Many good managers have come into the Premier league on the back of “failures” or limited top flight experience and gone on to be what could be considered as successful; we’ve had our share and it’s the market we are in.
