This pretty much sums up your understanding of football. Jumping on bandwagons. It's fashionable to slate Carroll, but he has the potential to be a quality player and I'm certain he will do well wherever he plays, if teams play to his strengths.

I wouldn't say that the problem is weight or healthiness of the players. None of them seem to be carrying too much extra, and when they do, Adkins normally sorts them out quickly. I certainly don't think we should be encouraging the players to go on fad diets.

I have no idea. I thought he was an out and out striker. I guess, because he's meant to be quick, people assume he can play on the right of a front three, but I'm not sure it's as easy as that. Why pay £3 for him if theres no room in the team for him? At least with Rodriguez you could argue he is the long term successor of Lambert, so who's this chap and when will he ever get a game? That's £9m (I'm sure he cost £3m) spent on two strikers who don't really play. That, for Southampton, is almost unforgivable. What a waste of money. It's the only question mark that hangs over Adkins, for me.

It was an improvement, but given that we were at home, against Swansea, I expected us to be a little more penetrating. That said, I wouldn't change that team much/at all for the next game. I'm not sure what's going on with Mayuka. What's his role in the team? It seems odd that he doesn't really get many chances.

Right, I have stuff to do, so have done this very quickly, and not knowing who any the 3 involved are or what double teaming is, it;s not my best work, but Im sure we can agree it's better than Bearsy's statue. For the purpose of this work I have assumed "double teaming" to involve Tokyo Saint having his head in Hannah Minx's lap whilst Bearsy takes her from behind, in a "surprise" way.

If he is seen giving the team talk in an empty corridor he's probably lost the dressing room.
