Arsenal got away with several bad challenges yesterday and most were not shown. Near the end there was a foot race between Sulemana and an Arsenal defender. The defender basically just shoved him over as he was going to get to the ball. Nothing given and Arsenal back on the attack. Seem to recall a challenge on Alcaraz on the edge of the box that looked a foul. No replay or comment made.

The best way to view last night's result is looking back on it from Thursday night after the Bournemouth game. If we turn up and win, it'll be seen as a bonus point. If, as expected we revert to the dull, monotonous and passionless football we usually put out against "lesser" teams. Then it's 2 points dropped.

It's a good result if we follow it up by beating Bournemouth. But we all know it'll be a limp, boring performance.

It's a point. More than expected. But ultimately of little use to us. We're still bottom. Still adrift. And now played a game more than anyone else.

And yet a point is more than we'd expected.

Ref has been awful and totally biased.
