You would say that.
-
AP will be sacked if he fails to get us promoted next season.
-
St Will and Gingletiss are the same people/person.
-
can you explain?
-
Good post! Team AP inherited was top 6 no problemo! Team we have now is top 2! Agree we wont be top 2 this season (because of the poor start and -10) but we should be next season - if we dont sneak the playoffs this year.
-
More than good enough for league 1! L1 is complete gash and that team would walk this league - imo remember Rasiak, Murty and Stern John were also in the squad when AP arrived.
-
The squad AP took over was top 6 easy peasy. Dont want to hear another word on it - closed.

The thread “Your Number 1 Priority This Season” sums up the mentality of some on here. Over 100 people have picked the JPT as a bigger priority than the league. We are not even half way through the league and over 100 people on here have already ruled out a decent second half to the season. The best part is they call us negative!
-
Started the season with KD, Harding, Thomas, Saga, Rasiak, Perry, Gillet, Murty, Schneiderlin and Lallana - these players would walk into nearly every side in L1! Even our so called weaker players i.e James, Paterson, Lancashire, Wotton, Mills, Holmes, Gobern, Thomson and Bialkowski would get into most L1 sides. Did we have a better squad than most - Computer says YES
-
When AP took over the side was probably in the top 5 or 6. He spend **** loads and now we have the best side in L1. Only Leeds come close.
-
I just gave you an infraction - behave or I will ban you for life.
-
Explained earlier…………… Man City spent money to bring the squad to a comparative standard to allow them to compete with the top 6-8 sides in the Prem. We already had a better team than most in L1 and then spent more than the other 23 combined.
-
Comparatively we are indeed the Man City of League 1. Man City outspent every other Premier team quite comprehensively – likewise we have spend considerably more than any other L1 side. Teams in L1 sell players – they don’t all re-invest. Look at the transfers for league 1 – 98% are free transfers. We on the other hand have spent 1.5 million – this is a sizeable amount. More than 70% of the teams in L1 have spent nothing and nobody comes close to spending the £’s we have.
-
whoosh
-
You think AP could spend 50 million and we still wouldnt get promoted? You must think AP is a really bad manager. Give him some time ffs
-
Gunn surely has a better idea than me and you? If he says he spent under 300k then I will believe him
-
Just as an example - BRIGHTON IN Elliott Bennett Wolves £200,000 rising to £250,000 Bennett played 2 senior games for Wolves - fee was reported to be minimal 25/30k Also when Gunn left Norwich he expressed his disapointment - explaining that he had signed a number of players over the summer and had assembled a decent squad for "under 300k"
-
your figures are waaaaaaay off.
-
based on a best guess formula - can give/take 100k but my figure is not to far off
-
explain
-
Id have Gillet ahead of Wotton everytime. Strange that AP didnt give him a chance.
-
Didnt suggest they are bigger clubs, just that we have 'skimmed' the best players from other L1 sides.
-
Started the season with KD, Harding, Thomas, Saga, Rasiak, Perry, Gillet, Murty, Schneiderlin and Lallana - these players would walk into nearly every side in L1! Even our so called weaker players i.e James, Paterson, Lancashire, Wotton, Mills, Holmes, Gobern, Thomson and Bialkowski would get into most L1 sides. Therefore if you did argue that our side was worse than at least half of the teams in L1 you would obviously lose.
-
League is priority - we have a good enough team to go up this year!
-
Lets hope so! Sign a couple more like Lambert and we really will have a great side.
