  1. Don't cross to the dark side. Too many of our fans have become accustomed to 2nd best and only time can repair that. Think positive, demand the best (always) and keep demanding 100%
  2. While I accept the Pinnacle delay cost us a few weeks preparation, I can't agree that this can be leaned on as an excuse ALL season. - Pre season training didn't started till June 22nd and Wotte spent time preparing our current stock. - Takeover was then completed 8th July (2 weeks "lost") - ML and team then waited 10 days to appoint AP (???) (3.5 weeks "lost") - AP has been here since 17th July ample time (imo) to have identified and purchased two or three players without "panic buying" (is Harding guaranteed to be sh*t because he signed him after 2 days?) - MK Dons appointed Paul Ince a week before we appointed AP, he has managed to sign 8 players!! MK Dons are now one of the favorites to go up (even our fans are tipping them on the 'who will win L1' thread) Pinnacle cost us a few weeks preparation - yes. We therefore needed to act fast to make up for the lost time, this hasn't been done and thats why we may now struggle.
  3. 0-0
  4. This thread is called 'The money is not there.. ' I have scanned all posts but can see why its named that? Have I missed something? Has AP said something about avalible funds?

  6. Size and Holland in (are you ITK) would be great. the team (on paper) then looks ok. Reality thou (not moaning) is Thomas will not stay fit (is already injured) Lallana inconsistant, Schneidelin yet to prove himself (and injury prone), Holland (if we did sign him) unlikely to play every week, Mills very young and probably one that AP considers "not ready" Rasiak wants out and Patterson again on AP's "not ready list" My point is that while the team looks ok (on paper) the 11 you have mentioned may not be enough to get us promoted. Just my opinion
  7. I think some feel that we still have a CCC standard team and by default we will therefore be ok. I'm however not sure we have had a CCC team since the playoff season and last season our team was very poor. We have lost a percentage of the talent we did have and now our current team is very poor indeed. I would suggest a mass clear out and 7 or 8 new players in - I think if the ML takeover had happened in May we may have done just that.
  8. Hopefully he will get tough with Rasiak and learn from the Stern John saga! I would sit him down (last week) and say do you want to be here? If yes excellent but if no say good bye. I would be very happy if 2 new faces come in next week and maybe even another full time or on loan.
  9. People can be so cruel :smt022 p.s :smt098
  10. or just start a thread for 'Happy clappys only' and you can all hug and kiss and agree on everything.
  11. Don't worry Norwich have bought all there players already and everyone knows that if you buy before the last day in Aug you're panic buying. They will all be rubbish players and they will need to be replaced in Jan.
  12. dont moan about the moaners, coz if u moan then the moaners will moan more, causing the guys who moan about the moaners 2 moan, which will increase the moaners moaning, leaving moaners and non moaners moaning - moan over!
  13. I didnt hear the interview myself (dont get the solent here in Glasgow) someone else posted about it on another thread. also said they saw it in the pink? Yep I agree it will take time - i dont want 7 new players tomorrow and realise it will take time, 2 or 3 new faces before Millwall would be a good boost however
  14. My 'wow' was more a surprise that they were 6th favourites - probably some weak journo doing same as last year and saying they have loads of £'s they will surely invest heavily. I would tip West Brom, Swansea, Sheff Utd, Reading, Preston, Nottm Forest, Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Leicester, Ipswich, Derby, Coventry and Cardiff to finish above QPR this year (unless they do start to spend) They have added 2 players and lost 7 since last seasons mid table - so would be surprised if they did reach the play-offs. Time will tell and maybe Magilton will deliver.....?
  15. thanks
  16. wow
  17. I will appoint you manager of the happy clappys
  18. Do you mean an average CCC team? QPR cant be considered 'very good' surely. QPR were mid table last year and have added only two players (sold 7) this summer In other recent friendlies they got stuffed by some Croatia league team and drew 2-2 with Oxford Utd!!
  19. Told ya
  20. It is getting desperate now - sadly some will still keep heads firmly buried below the ground.
  21. Solent are reporting that we will definitely have a new CB and probably a new striker before the Millwall game. Lets hope so
  22. Maybe this result may help the 'happy clappy' to wake up?
  23. Yep 3 nil every week would be aces
  24. I really think Southampton will be the team to get beaten in this league
