  1. That's about it I think! Frustrating as it is.......good down to earth post.
  2. See new thread - OS confirms he has signed a new one year deal with an option on a further 12 months. Great news and means the other stuff was just rumour
  3. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=10449 Should end some of the rumours now! ;-)
  4. I like the sound of his approach as reported on the OS. He sounds like a winner and very positive......I just hope the season reflects it! http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=10444
  5. Did you mean tickets....or players????? ;-)
  6. That's how I feel right now, quite excited by what's happening and just hoping we've got enough about us to get established in the division this season.....
  7. http://www.fansonline.net/southampton/article.php?id=274 I read this and thought it was a particularly well thought out and written piece, far better than is found on most websites, even if you don't agree with it. What are your thoughts on it folks?
  8. Hope I'm wrong, but I reckon we'll eventually be well beaten after showing promising signs. 0-3 :-(
  9. Exactly. I think so too.
  10. Agreed! JP has already said that Svensson is not up to three games a week at the moment but may well be later in the season....that was said earlier this week and I think concerning the Exeter game. The other 'inside info' doesn't add up to me either....
  11. The one problem with what you are saying as far as I can see, is that if we suffer too many early defeats then confidence could become an issue and will hinder further development because of increased pressure to perform. Gareth Bale was just one new player coming in while now it's more than half the team and there will be a collective expectation on them, with too little experince if things take a while too gel. That's really the one thing that worries me a little......
  12. After what we saw against West Ham I can't wait to see what we can do against Cardiff and the rest in the Championship, and I haven't really got a clue which way it'll go! What I do know is we'll go out to play real football, and that's what I remember Saints standing for in the Lawrie Mac and Chris Nicholl era's. As Lordswood said "Bring it on!" COYR!
  13. Me too!
  14. Loved the game and was surprised by the great atmosphere (friendlies are not often like that) and also by the way we played. Was fast, slick and some lovely one or two touch stuff at times. I think we have a lot of potential quality but like some others on here have a little question mark over how we handle some of the bigger and more physical sides in the CCC. Will be interesting to see..... Was impressed with all the team and surprised at how well Lloyd James fitted in at right back and Jake Thomson wide.....they've matured since I last saw them play, as have some of the other lads. Overall came away buzzing. Really enjoyed it, a great night out!
