  1. To be fair Sullivan has had to make some saves too.....
  2. Oh dear....I don't know but it's not looking good is it?
  3. ...thought it may be of interest how he views us http://www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk/free-press-sport/Expert-Corner--Glynn-Snodin.4527350.jp
  4. 4-2-2 ???? Crumbs, I thought we were having a bad enough time as it is!!!!!! ;-)
  5. Thanks DP. Some excellent points, especially concerning the club itself and how to increase crowds and revenue etc. It's a shame these things don't seem to be listened to or picked up by those who could make it happen! (ie the Board) :-(
  6. OS has been fine for me the whole second half
  7. Mental and physical stamina is a big issue for the team this season I think. Good post.
  8. Really disappointed at the time that we let Dexter go. But imo Mcg is better than Best and could prove the best of all in the end
  9. Oh come on guys, he's just trying to encourage the youngsters and boost their confidence in order to press on. I think Jan knows the score! :-)
  10. Good post! Balanced and honest view.
  11. Thing is, (barring the negativity) he often talks a lot of sense. It is possible to get a real feel for what's needed from a distance when you follow the team and take note of all the comments from various sources. Amazing how often a considered 'gut' feeling turns out to be right! Would you agree?
  12. Without more experience in the side I'm concerned that morale and confidence will drop and we will underperform more and more. It has been my concern since I saw us against West Ham, which was a good performance. There is no substitute for experience in any walk of life. (That's coming form a 50 year old mind!) ;-)
  13. I hear what you're saying but from what I understand, I think maybe John is never going to fit properly with the system, Skacel is still returning to full fitness after missing a proper pre-season and subsequent injury, and Perry was not being played three times in a week so was left out against QPR and Lancashire brought in on that occasion to counter the pace of the QPR breaks.....shame that didn't work out! :-/ We do need more experience in there though. Two or three more players and we could be a really decent side....
  14. I'm concerned about that too, especially losing some of the more promising players before next season. I guess we just have to take a step at a time and and face the next problem as it comes. Seems as a club we're not in a position to genuinely plan for success anymore.... :-(

Great stuff.....good to hear.....and shows strong character
  16. I too was driving and only heard about 10 minutes towards the end of the first half. I was surprised how complimentary and positive he was about Saints, to be fair. He thought the sending off was shocking and said we were playing neat football without really penetrating in the final third. That seems to tie in to what everyone else is saying, so 'no' I didn't think he was shocking at all in what I heard......which admittedly was not as much as I would have liked!!!!
  17. This thread is a wind up, right? And it's working...... :-)
  18. That's what I thought too!
  19. More likely to have been cover for Killer then, or as you say maybe for him and Thomas as well, as the injuries would have been known at the time.....he could have been extra useful now though!
  20. And here's the follow up in England's colours.... http://fourfourtwo.com/interviews/qanda/164/article.aspx
  21. Saw this and thought it was a nice piece. Theo still in Saints colours. If you look, there's one on Nathan Dyer too....oh well ;-/ http://fourfourtwo.com/interviews/boysabitspecial/166/article.aspx Enjoy!
  22. I have a sneaking feeling it could be 1-1 In which case I will be very happy!
  23. Hindsight is wonderful thing! We all know he was going to make it big time, but not many of us could really have expected him to break into the full national side this year as he has done, could we? Also, like someone else pointed out, we wouldn't start getting any of the extra money for almost another two years anyway so probably it was the right thing to do. :-(
  24. He's still injured for one thing, isn't he?
  25. I was hoping like everyone else we'd win but know that supporting Saints is never straightforward. However, I'd still rather have this team than be as we were last season. I reckon we're in for a real roller-coaster. You win some and lose some and these boys are learning. We'll bounce back again! We still have some exciting days ahead.
