  1. Yes - 5 slots available even if you include Lancashire. I can't see us signing 5 more players. Abdul Karim, Mohamed Salisu Adams, Che Zach Everton Fred* Armstrong, Adam James* Armstrong, Stuart Ayodele-Aribo, Joseph Caballero Lazcano, Wilfredo Daniel Ćaleta-Car, Duje Diallo, Ibrahima Djenepo, Moussa El Younossi, Mohamed Evangelista Silveira Neves Vojnovic, Lynaco Lancashire, Oliver* Maitland-Niles, Ainsley* McCarthy, Alex Simon* Oršić, Mislav Perraud, Romain Paul Jean Michel Vokins, Jake* Walcott, Theo James* Walker-Peters, Kyle Leonardus* Ward-Prowse, James Michael Edward*
  2. The 25 man squads have been published on the PL website. Our squad is, as expected, only 18 players over 21 years old plus 57 players who are under 21. https://www.premierleague.com/news/2786707 25 Squad players (*Home grown) Abdul Karim, Mohamed Salisu Adams, Che Sac Everton Fred* Armstrong , Adam James* Armstrong, Stuart Ayodele-Aribo, Joseph Caballero Lazcano, Wilfredo Daniel Caleta-Car, Duje Diallo, Ibrahima Djenepo, Moussa El Younossi, Mohamed Evangelista Silveira Neves Vojnovic, Lyanco Lancashire, Oliver* Maitland-Niles, Ainsley* McCarthy, Alex Simon* Perraud, Romain Paul Jean Michel Walcott, Theo James* Walker-Peters, Kyle Leonardus* Ward-Prowse, James Michael Edward* U21 players (Contract and Scholars) Amo-Ameyaw, Samuel Christian Osaze K O Andrews, Joseph Daniel Armitage, Will Babic, Goran Gogo Bailey, Isaac Joseph Bailey, Samuel James Ballard, Dominic Bazunu, Gavin Bella-Kotchap, Armel Bellis, Samuel Lawrence Alexander Boot, Nathanael Joshua Asiimwe Bragg, Cameron Roger Bycroft, Jack Thomas (loan) Carson, Matthew Charles, Brandon Davis Chauke, Kgaogelo (loan) Chavez-Munoz, Ryan Jorge Davis, Sonnie Dibling, Tyler-Jay Doyle, Kamari Olivier Edmondson, Tyler James Edozie, Samuel Ikechukwu Edwards, Milan Diamond Lazane Evans, Reggie James Finnigan, Ryan James Hall, Matthew Hartness, Ethan Andre Thomas Hewlett, Jeremiah James Higgs, Tommy Lee Jeffries, Josh David Larios Lopez, Juan Lavia, Romeo Lawrence, Nico Lett, Joshua Matthew Livramento, Valentino Mara, Sekou Merry, William George Mohamed, Adli Hatim Othman Husain Elkhidir Morgan, Jimmy-Jay Olaigbe, Kazeem Aderemi J. (loan) Otseh-Taiwo, Zuriel Pambou Makaya, Leon Payne, Lewis James Pearce, Luke Edward Andrew Prescott, Alfie Leo Rodriguez Borja, Jeremi Alexander Ross-Lang, Fedel Simeu, Dynel Brown Kemgo (loan) Small, Thierry (loan) Squires, Joshua David Stepien Iwumene, Emeka Alex Tizzard, Wiliam (loan) Turner, Jack Watts, Caleb Cassius (loan) Woods, Harvey James (loan) Wright, Oliver Wright, Rylee Those under 21s out on loan are listed. In the over 21 list we omit 7 players out on loan (as we are not required to list them): Bednarek, Jan Lis, Mateusz Nlundulu, Dan* Smallbone, William Anthony Patrick* Stephens, Jack* Tella, Nathan* Vokins, Jake* I note the OS profiles have been updated to include the new scholars and has moved last season's 2nd year scholars into the B team. Tyler Dibling is excluded from U18s. The B team includes 5 players who are out on loan but the other 10 players out on loan are excluded. That may get corrected. I doubt some of those listed in the U18 list will play much for the U18s - e.g. Ballard, Morgan, Bragg, Doyle - but they are still 2nd year scholars (1st year for Morgan).
  3. With Redmond's departure almost confirmed on the OS, he is the 55th pro to have left permanently since the end of the 19-20 season (plus a further 10 scholars). That's 65 players in slightly over 2 years - that's some turnover. On top of that we've had countless players out on loan over that period - 14 currently.
  4. Adding/updating the B team numbers after the EFL trophy 36 Olly Lancashire 46 Jimmy-Jay Morgan 47 Oliver Wright 48 Kgaogelo Chauke (on loan) 49 Will Armitage 50 Ryan Finnigan 51 Jack Bycroft (on loan) 52 Sam Bellis 53 Dominic Ballard 54 Matt Hall 55 Jack Turner 56 Zuriel Otseh-Taiwo 57 Fedel Ross-Lang 58 Will Tizzard 59 Nico Lawrence 60 Luke Pearce 61 Lewis Payne 62 Leon Pambou 63 Jeremi Rodriguez 64 Sam Bailey 65 Kami Doyle 66 Diamond Edwards 67 Matt Carson 68 Cam Bragg 69 Goran Babic 70 Harvey Woods 71 Will Merry 72 Jem Hewlett 73 Tyler Dibling 74 Sonnie Davis 75 Sam Amo-Ameyaw 76 Nathaniel Boot 77 Brandon Charles 78 Jak Stewart 79 Josh Lett 80 Jayden Meghoma 81 Jay Robinson
  5. I wonder if that means Perraud is moving to 3 if Lavia is taking his 15 shirt. Dynel Simeu is 38. A few of the numbers for the B team are shown in the latest photos or from earlier in the pre-season. Not all are visible but I noticed 47 Ollie Wright 48 Kegs Chauke 53 Dom Ballard 54 Matt Hall 56 Zuriel Otseh-Taiwo 58 Will Tizzard 60 Luke Pearce 65 Kami Doyle 66 Diamond Edwards 67 Matt Carson 69 Goran Babic Nico Lawrence appears to be fifty something. Ferry and Ramsay are there without numbers.
  6. Bazunu was wearing 31 on his training top in photos at the end of yesterday’s training gallery. Lis also wearing a number which looked to me like 30 but not clear enough to be sure (Hampshire Live thought it looked like 69). Re the above list, 16 is taken by Thierry Small by the way
  7. As it stands we are comfortably OK with the home grown rule. We have 27 over 21 players but this includes Lancashire (B-team) and Nlundulu (on loan until January). Not home grown (10) - as listed by SaintJackoInHurworth Bednarek Caballero Diallo Djenepo El Younossi Lis Lyanco Perraud Romeu Salisu Home grown (17) Adams A Armstrong S Armstrong Ferry Lancashire (B team) McCarthy Nlundulu (but out on loan until January) Ramsay Redmond Smallbone Stephens Tella Valery Vokins Walcott Walker-Peters Ward-Prowse The rest are U21 (including Small, Livramento, Simeu, Chauke, Bazunu, Bella-Kotchap and Lavia). The whole of the B team are U21 (except Lancashire) - though Bycroft has only one more season as an U21 (as does Bella-Kotchap).
  8. I've had to give up on the OS as the official source of contract info as it is wholly unreliable. There are some reports from usually reliable sources that Willy has signed an extension of one year.
  9. Here is the full retained list. I’ll edit the opening post when I get a moment. Contracts Abdul Karim, Mohamed Salisu Adams, Che Sac Everton Fred Armitage, Will Armstrong, Adam James Armstrong, Stuart Babic, Goran Gogo Ballard, Dominic Bednarek, Jan Bellis, Samuel Lawrence Alexander (Offer) Bycroft, Jack Thomas Caballero Lazcano, Wilfredo Daniel (Offer) Chauke, Kgaogelo (Offer) Diallo, Ibrahima Djenepo, Moussa Edwards, Milan Diamond Lazane El Younossi, Mohamed Evangelista Silveira Neves Vojnovic, Lyanco Ferry, William Finnigan, Ryan James Hall, Matthew Lancashire, Oliver Lawrence, Nico Livramento, Valentino Long, Shane Patrick (Offer) McCarthy, Alex Simon Nlundulu, Dan Olaigbe, Kazeem Aderemi J. Otseh-Taiwo, Zuriel Pambou Makaya, Leon Payne, Lewis James Pearce, Luke Edward Andrew Perraud, Romain Paul Jean Michel Ramsay, Kayne Redmond, Nathan Daniel Jerome Rodriguez Borja, Jeremi Alexander Ross-Lang, Fedel Simeu, Dynel Brown Kemgo Small, Thierry Smallbone, William Anthony Patrick Stephens, Jack Tella, Nathan Tizzard, Wiliam Turner, Jack Valery, Yan Vidal, Oriol Romeu Vokins, Jake Walcott, Theo James Walker-Peters, Kyle Leonardus Ward-Prowse, James Michael Edward Watts, Caleb Cassius Wright, Oliver Scholars Bailey, Samuel James (Offer Contract) Beach, Edward James (Extended) Bragg, Cameron Roger Carson, Matthew (Extended) Chavez-Munoz, Ryan Jorge Davis, Sonnie Doyle, Kamari Olivier Hewlett, Jeremiah James Higgs, Tommy Lee Jeffries, Josh David Lett, Joshua Matthew Mohamed, Adli Hatim Othman Husain Squires, Joshua David Woods, Harvey James (Extended) Wright, Rylee
  10. Keep an eye on the PL website from 3pm today. I believe the retained and released lists will be published then
  11. My understanding is that there is a deadline of today to submit retained and released lists to the PL. We may announce something today but we don't have to announce anything - we could leave it to the PL to announce when they publish the lists in a few days' time. I suspect Liverpool will have a few days after the CL final before they have to submit their list so I doubt there will be any publication by the PL this week. All professional players under contract with the club will be on one list or the other. If we are still negotiating, the player will be on the retained list with the word "Offer" alongside him.
  12. I think it will be earlier this year as I understand that lists need to be with PL by this Thursday. Of course, we don’t need to announce anything straightaway but the PL will publish the lists within days
  13. As has Ethan Burnett as well I'll update the opening post for the 22-23 season once we have something official (assuming there is something official!) - unlikely to be before the last first team match.
  14. https://www.premierleague.com/news/2470630 Our 24 man squad announced plus 48 under 21 players. Armitage not included but otherwise no surprises. The only other player not listed (because he is out on loan and not an under 21) is Nlundulu. 25 Squad players (*Home grown) Abdul Karim, Mohamed Salisu Adams, Che Sac Everton Fred* Armstrong, Adam James * Armstrong, Stuart Bednarek, Jan Caballero Lazcano, Wilfredo Daniel Diallo, Ibrahima Djenepo, Moussa El Younossi, Mohamed Evangelista Silveira Neves Vojnovic, Lyanco Forster, Fraser Gerard* Lancashire, Oliver* Lewis, Harry Charles John* Long, Shane Patrick* McCarthy, Alex Simon* Perraud, Romain Paul Jean Michel Redmond, Nathan Daniel Jerome* Stephens, Jack* Tella, Nathan* Valery, Yan* Vidal, Oriol Romeu Walcott, Theo James* Walker-Peters, Kyle Leonardus* Ward-Prowse, James Michael Edward* U21 players (Contract and Scholars) Babic, Goran Gogo Bailey, Samuel James Ballard, Dominic Beach, Edward James Bellis, Samuel Lawrence Alexander Bragg, Cameron Roger Broja, Armando Burnett, Ethan Bycroft, Jack Thomas Carson, Matthew Chauke, Kgaogelo Chavez-Munoz, Ryan Jorge Davey, Teddy Jay Davis, Sonnie Doyle, Kamari Olivier Edwards, Milan Diamond Lazane Ferry, William Finnigan, Ryan James Hall, Matthew Hewlett, Jeremiah James Higgs, Tommy Lee Lett, Joshua Matthew Livramento, Valentino Mitchell, Ramello Dejorn Mohamed, Adli Hatim Othman Husain Elkhidir Olaigbe, Kazeem Aderemi J. 15. He'll presumably be in the long list of U21 players (replacing Lillienberg - the goalie that has left). Other than that, I'm just expecting Caballero in place of McQueen in the main list
  16. Yes if the PL follow what they have done in previous seasons. Not many changes in our case though.
  17. Here is the full list. https://www.premierleague.com/news/2247219 With one exception, there are no surprises. We have listed 24 over 21s and 49 under 21s. The only contracted player omitted is Dan NLundulu who is the only over 21 out on loan. The surprise (to me anyway) is the listing of someone called Adli Hatim Othman Husain Elkhidir Mohamed. I have never heard of him! A "Home-Grown Player" means a player who, irrespective of nationality or age, has been registered with any club affiliated to The Football Association or the Football Association of Wales for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons, or 36 months, before his 21st birthday (or the end of the season during which he turns 21). Under-21 players are eligible over and above the limit of 25 players per squad. For the 2021/22 campaign Under-21 players will have been born on or after 1 January 2000. 25 Squad players First name Surname Mohamed Salisu Abdul Karim Che Sac Everton Fred Adams HGP Adam James Armstrong HGP Stuart Armstrong Jan Bednarek Ibrahima Diallo Moussa Djenepo Mohamed El Younossi Lyanco Evangelista Silveira Neves Vojnovic Fraser Gerard Forster HGP Oliver Lancashire HGP Harry Charles John Lewis HGP Shane Patrick Long HGP Alex Simon McCarthy HGP Samuel James McQueen HGP Romain Paul Jean Michel Perraud Nathan Daniel Jerome Redmond HGP Jack Stephens HGP Nathan Tella HGP Yan Valery HGP Oriol Romeu Vidal Theo James Walcott HGP Kyle Leonardus Walker-Peters HGP James Michael Edward Ward-Prowse HGP U21 players (Contract and Scholars) First names Surname Goran Gogo Babic HGP Samuel James Bailey HGP Dominic Ballard HGP Edward James Beach Samuel Lawrence Alexander Bellis HGP Cameron Roger Bragg HGP Armando Broja HGP Ethan Burnett HGP Jack Thomas Bycroft HGP Matthew Carson Kgaogelo Chauke HGP Ryan Jorge Chavez-Munoz HGP Teddy Jay Davey HGP Sonnie Davis HGP Kamari Olivier Doyle Milan Diamond Lazane Edwards HGP William Ferry HGP Ryan James Finnigan HGP Matthew Hall HGP Jeremiah James Hewlett Tommy Lee Higgs HGP Joshua Matthew Lett HGP Gustav Erik Lillienberg Valentino Livramento HGP Ramello Dejorn Mitchell HGP Adli Hatim Othman Husain Elkhidir Mohamed Kazeem Aderemi J. 18. He has this afternoon been removed from the B Team profiles on the OS. Not overwhelming evidence (e.g. James Morris is still there) but a good indicator.
  19. And Marcus Rus/Enzo Robise - all three disappeared without any mention on the OS. Robise is still listed in the B team but the others were removed without explanation.
  20. Yes, I agree - I'll assume 2022. We were never told what happened when his contract expired in June 2020 so it looks like that was a 1 year extension.
  21. Yes, good luck to all the departing players - and those being offered new deals. The PL have now published a full list of retained players here https://www.premierleague.com/news/2163099 Contracts Abdul Karim, Mohamed Salisu Adams, Che Sac Everton Fred Armstrong, Stuart Bednarek, Jan Bellis, Samuel Lawrence Alexander Bycroft, Jack Thomas Chauke, Kgaogelo Diallo, Ibrahima Djenepo, Moussa Edwards, Milan Diamond Lazane El Younossi, Mohamed Ferry, William Finnigan, Ryan James Forster, Fraser Gerard Gunn, Angus Fraser James Hoedt, Wesley Ings, Daniel William John Jankewitz, Alexandre Tounde Dimitri Lemina, Mario Rene Junior Lewis, Harry Charles John Long, Shane Patrick McCarthy, Alex Simon McQueen, Samuel James (Offer Contract) Mitchell, Ramello Dejorn Nlundulu, Dan Obafemi, Michael Oluwadurotimi Olaigbe, Kazeem Aderemi J. 22. Thanks @SuperSAINT for posting the Twitter and Instagram posts. The OS gave up on providing information on departures and many of the contract extensions some time time ago so until the PL publishes the definitive lists (by second Saturday in June) these now look to be the best sources of information.
  23. Séamas Keogh, who is out of contract soon, has been removed from the B team profiles. And information on the trialist in the B team last week https://www.the42.ie/southampton-considering-a-bid-for-irish-youngster-sean-roughan-5433297-May2021/
  24. Saints record for 2021 if you combine the league games of the first team, B team and U18s is something like P40 W4 D5 L31 F40 A 121 Pts 17 Woeful.
  25. I have updated the info in the opening post to reflect how it woud currently look in 2021-22 season i.e. updated which U18s become B team players, which U21s become U23 etc. I'll add it to the opening post at the end of the season once we've seen the retained list but in the meantime...
