I don't think they're at the bottom yet, I'm sure BC could take them lower.

The Pompey boss said: ‘I had a discussion with them (Portpin) in the first week of May. ‘But the impression I get now is that the goalposts have changed in terms of that budget that was mentioned. ‘Everything depends on the budget that I am given. ‘If it goes through and the deal gets done in terms of the club, the owners have to come back to me with a budget. ‘I will then know what their realistic expectations are for the season – whether they want to go up, whether they want to be competitive or whether they just want to survive. ‘If I had 25 players in mind, I might get a budget where I can sign all 25 players. ‘But they might come to me with a budget that only allows me to sign maybe 12 or even fewer. Then I would have to start working out which ones.’ ..or you could build a squad that the club can afford.

There is still plenty of uncertainty, however, with Appleton still not knowing what moves he can make in the transfer market. The 36-year-old was hoping for a wage budget in the region of £4m from Chainrai to be able to create a squad capable of making an impact in League One next season. Indications were made that would be the situation, but it now appears it may not be the case. Is that the sound of trialists packing their bags?

Most of the trialists seem happy to hang about. It makes you wonder what they've been promised, and how that will differ from what they get offered.

A PLC can be listed on a stock exchange, but it doesn't have to be.

I'm not sure that the PST proposal allows for BC getting his hands on the club first. How much meat do you think he will leave on the carcuss?

'..Chanrai to get the club initially but only to protect his money..'

'A total wage budget of £2.65m is equivalent to a squad of 20 players earning an average of £2,240 per week. In the current squad of 14 players, ten players are earning well above this rate, and therefore need to have been moved on prior to completion, although it appears transfers for some of these players are imminent. All Saints fans should protest about this disgusting slur

Probably time to remove it from the OP as well. -
Poor Mr Kitson doesn't realise a Pompey compromise deal is a bit different from the traditional one. 'Dave, you waive your rights to any past and future money due under your contract and we... err.. no, that's it!'

I think it depends on how many timeshares they sell
