  1. He made his choices and like many alcoholics knows best despite the medical advice - maybe the people who surrounded him and encouraged him can take some responsibility - tis a shame because as footballer he provided good entertainment. Many many people with similar problems never get the opportunity to have the expensive Rehab he has received and all he has done is let that opportunity slip away.
  2. Deal fell through because Spurs wanted an installment plan and Inter said along the lines of cash up front please
  3. Bit of late night reading of the South American newspapers - Jorge Machado, the lads agent has already sent a representative ( most probably Gilmar Velozto) to Southampton find out all about the area, club etc a few weeks ago , Spurs deal is off because Damiao's club did not agree with the installment plan offered by Spurs. Main interest for the player now is a move to Southampton, agent has said if financial requirement is met by the striker, Inter must accept the output. One of the problems is Athletic Morrow, Santa Catarina, who still owns 30% Damian rights, what will be their slice as £20m is what the player would cost up front. Agent is a great character when you read about him , Jorge Machado currently spend 300k a month supporting young players who have potential, tough negotiator in his interview as he says If the player wanted a salary of £ 5000, I asked for £ 15,000 for the club officer. In the end, we agree for £ 12,000, and the player, jumping for joy, Always good to get a different read I guess - so much more detail in South American papers , all depends how good you translating is - DO not rely on Google translate its utter ******
  4. Soo pleased that I took languages at Uni - you get so much more detail in the South American newspapers
  5. Personally I think grown men wearing football shirts is a bit naff - its ok when you 6 or 7 and fantasize about being MLT . Don't really see the point or the justification of the cost.
  6. Are we seriously worried about a piece of cotton - honestly grown men
  7. If we have a poll - can we send it to NC , Im sure he would love to read the opinion of a few people who may think he is just wasting his time on this project we call SFC and sale up to SISU or maybe we can have a fans buy out or maybe, we could just enjoy the football and excitement of being entertained by the services provided by the owners. I guess it's like many things in the UK we have a choice - if you don't like it , if your unhappy , if you feel dis-connected then there is the door, you can always put your money some where else.
  8. http://www.nacional.com.uy/mvdcms/uc_5959_1.html Signed 4 year deal only last year
  9. If that is what got us 2 back to back promotions - write on Nigel
  10. New Pie supplier
  11. Comments on the O/S statement are very encouraging
  12. Nice news to end the season + and what a season ,
  13. "We want to have everything set up and tied down for 1st July, so we're working as if everything is as it is. I have total confidence and faith that Nicola will be here next season, and that I will be here as well."
  14. Whats Tommy Forecast up to - is he looking for another club ?
  15. Its a game of football after all - no matter what happens 11 players go out on the pitch thats why I'm not worried who the chairperson is - if we win we win if we dont we dont - control the controllables
  16. Goes all against the info coming from the club over the last few years - maybe the "trust" just want someone else to take us to the next level - after all the five year plan has been completed early and we get a nice amount of cash for next year. Changing the chairman is some thing I personally would not worry about - the direction is always the same
  17. Still all this fuss of an advertising campaign - lets see what happens by Christmas then I do believe that we can just ram it down their throats once again and remind them of their oh so fragile ego's - Here's to Christmas
  18. The ground is amazing - mind you had to turn the speakers down as the crowd noise was just to much
  19. So your grand is for players wages then ?? In accordance with Football League stipulations when granting Pompey membership last month, the club are not permitted to buy players. That is until debts to creditors, primarily the PFA, are settled first.
  20. Surely not - two of the "heros" moving on because wages offered were not good enough - http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/catlin-we-won-t-be-budged-on-wages-1-5055698
  21. I've said it before and I'll say it again... Clever wording from the spin machine as in relation to who owns Pompey ? Yes the "fans" own Pompey as in a team of staff, entrance to league football and the golden share - but the ground is a totally different question - I think PCCF can easily pass off any question as in who owns Pompey but the question should be , Who actually owns Fatpipes - different question completely, mind you I guess they can easily be suckered into believing that Pompey includes Fatpipes ...
  22. "PST Board Member and Portsmouth Community Football Club Director Mick Williams has produced a handy summary of some of the key questions members and shareholders have been asking since the club came out of administration. If you have further questions please email info@pompeytrust.com Who owns Pompey now? Portsmouth Community Football Club Ltd (PCFC)is the company that owns the club. The shareholders of PCFC are 11 Pompey fans (Presidents) who have invested between £50,000 and £250,000 each (totalling about £1.6M) and the Pompey Supporters Trust (PST) which is rapidly approaching £2M investment. The exact percentage of shareholdings will not be known for months as we are still looking for new Presidents and fans are, hopefully, going to continue to convert their pledges and make new applications. The 11 Presidents paid the administrators, on a weekly basis, a total of around £400,000 to cover the losses and stop the club being liquidated for a number of months last year. Clever answer as the question should be - Who owns Fatpipes Park ? They all seem to think that because they own Pompey the club which is the players contracts , staff and the Football League inclusion - it don't included an appropriate answer to the ground or even mention the ground -
  23. Think its from Rosie
  24. But who currently owns Fatpipes ? Its not the Trust or the Directors , 15 months to repay the "loan" to purchase the ground - yesterday on the website is was suggested that they are renting the ground at a reasonable rate and "hope" to purchase in full within 5 years - but I guess that's transparency for you All of the wording is constructed quite cleverly - if you read the detail Guy has already been quoted as saying he can't buy any new players - looks like Jed Wallace is on his way, if he does go I wonder if there will be a vote on it , they could be holding a referendum every week until August - who's in who's out afterall they all own it now
  25. Quotes above from Community Pompey - seems that all the shares are doing is paying rent - so this time its not Chinny but someone else getting housing benefit
