A doctor I know works in Portsmouth 3 days a week because he likes working with deprived people. True story.

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/alex-oxlade-chamberlain-specials/club-after-summer-transfer-window Arsenal 1-10 Barcelona 25-1! ffs Saints not quoted Is this just guesswork or do they know something we don't - ridiculously short odds for a move to Arsenal. FWIW I think he'll stay with us.
-
I don't know what the **** you're talking about. If you're trying to complicate the argument to make yourself look less of a prat it's not working. Seems quite simple to me - is Championship football worth 72% more to watch than League One football. I say no. End of.
-
Eh? Read again and this time remember who got promoted/relegated. But that's what you did - chose the most attractive game in the Championship against the least attractive in League One. All I did was reverse it. Got it? d'oh
-
Thanks for the support.
-
Not 72% more expensive (the increase I have been asked to pay) Do you not think a League One match vs Sheffield Utd should be more expensive than a Championship match vs Peterborough? I can play that game too
-
League 1 = Local Am-Dram Championship = West End Show Er.... no
-
What a sanctimonious **** you are. I didn't say I didn't have cash, I said I didn't have any income, 2 different things. And who are you to lecture me on what I can spend my money on? I know exactly how much money I have to last me until I become eligible for the meagre state pension and I have budgeted carefully. I have already forgone holidays and had put aside £400 for this season's ticket, surely even you can allow a little pleasure in my life. As it is I have decided not to renew. Is that OK with you? Btw - I know you're waiting for Cortese to build a 75000 super stadium - i would suggest if he carries on with this pricing policy year-on-year by the time it's built it'll have about 10,000 people sitting in it.
-
That means I have NO income: you try it
-
Free prescriptions, rail cards, bus passes in most areas. And the vast majority of football clubs - including that lot down the road, and God knows they need the money more than most.
-
But I'm 60+ and no longer qualify for a concession. That's why we're all complaining ffs. Got it? d'oh
-
How exactly can I do that then?
-
You've really done it now! Btw, I completely agree with you.
-
you know you're not allowed to say that on here - even if it is true.
-
Joe Hart having a mare. But Fat Frank gets one back from the spot. Just
-
You're quite right - that is the maximum possible "saving" (sic) for a new season ticket - not a renewal. Actually £221.
-
Describes me perfectly - I intend to spend the £400 I had put aside on other forms of entertainment such as cinema, concerts etc. I have no intention of being held to ransom - a 72% year-on-year increase in these supposedly austere times is just taking the p1ss. I could afford it - but I won't pay.
-
£300 (centre - senior) - £515 (centre - full) I'm 61 so no longer qualify for senior ticket. BTW I think that makes us the only club in the country to not give concessions to over 60's.
-
My ticket's gone up 72% They can stick it
-
No, but you might decide just to watch Jeff Stelliing and co. on a Saturday afternoon, particularly if the price increase is a bit steep. I really think it's a p1ss poor way to treat your customers.
-
Press conference due in 2016 then.
-
It's just not necessary - it's just a fashion, nobody made a sound before Seles. Roger Federer doesn't make a peep - are you suggesting that he doesn't play as hard as anyone else? And as for Maria Sharapova, she sounds like she's been murdered with every shot.
-
At least they won't be harping on about "The Royals" at every opportunity next season as if they were a local club.
-
Don't know what you mean about your daughter-in-law - unless you are talking about a so-called "private job" at HCC's in-plant. If so, hope she doesn't get caught.
-
Why do you think they're "unbeatable on price by a million miles?" Because their capital costs are paid for by council tax payers - you and me. Factor that in and maybe they're not so cheap. Unfair competition which should be illegal.
