  1. What they see is a football brain. He might be marginally slower than Walcott, but Walcott's problem is he may get there quickly but doesn't know what to do with it then - and they fact that pace fades quickly when he gets a bit older (Michael Owen anyone?) Chamberlain on the other hand seems to instantly recognise situations and tries to act on them, ok his passes don't always come off but IMO that will come. In short, much more potential than Walcott who has never really realised his own potential because it was always limited to pace.
  2. What does that mean?
  3. I think that's a distinct possibility - especially now they've got that idiot Megson in charge.
  4. Thanks - not much clearer then. But I think I've heard of that bloke at the bottom
  5. Just reading the club's entry on Wikipedia and these people are listed as directors. If this is this true, I've never heard of them. It's also got David Jones as still on the board, but I think he went to Argyle. Probably just Wikipedia doing what it does best, but it's got me intrigued. Anyone?
  6. Scotland 2 - 1 England (scores from open play) Scotland 16 - 22 England (points) See what I mean? Stupid game - its like deciding a football match by the number of yellow cards.
  7. A dubious penalty then - see my post above. Under my system - England 4 - 4 Scotland
  8. For too long Rugby Union has been a penalty kicking competition - often given on dubious decisions by the referee. The points given should be adjusted something like this: Try - 10pts Conversion - 2pts Drop goal - 2pts Penalty - 1pt Maybe then we'd see more of what the game should be all about I'm taking cover.

  10. I think this deserves another airing. http://www.punchaceleb.com/index.php?top20=all#Neil%20Lennon%20-%20162m Good to see ol' Rupes is still 2nd overall, but I wouldn't argue with the clear leader.
  11. Giving up smoking is easy - I've done it hundreds of times.
  12. He's the best striker at the club when fit, no doubt. But he'll probably be back in the treatment room soon.

Agree with all of that apart from the shares mag. Magazine publishing being what it is, mags are out of date before they hit the street. Internet a much better source of info - research into any company is key. PS Don't listen to dune
  15. This - it's about time they manned up, and stood up to this ****.
  16. You obviously have no idea of the distances and relative size of the objects involved here. The ONLY two ways of finding exoplanets are: 1. By observing the small "wobble" in the parent's star's motion due to the gravational pull of a probable gas giant planet in close proximity to the star. 2. The vanishingly small reduction in apparent light output of the parent star due to the transit of a planet across the star. No way could one see detail on the surface of that planet any more than you could see detail on a mosquito's bollock from 10 miles away as it flew across the sun. HTH
  17. Good point. Gotta think outside the box sometimes.
  18. TBH Gibson could have done worse. Edit. Did do worse.
  19. It'd take a helluva telescope to spot an alien bacterium on a planet 200 light years away. You wouldn't be able to see anything on the surface anyway due to the glare and brightness of the parent star.
  20. Netherlands 292-6. Deserve to win IMO
  21. England playing like a bunch of tossers. As Botham says - this is schoolboy stuff.
  22. One of my mates from school went to uni there. Poor sod.
  23. Go to Bangor. Apparently it's lovely.
  24. That's brilliant - complete with commentary from Mr Cholmondley-Warner
