Rumoured Saints target from Celtic, Leo Hjelde, is strongly tipped to sign for Leeds. Leeds are like how most people I know play FM. They are absolute monsters at hoovering you young talent. I know I’ll bring on the “ wish we were Leeds” posts 👀, but I wish we did it more.

- I’m sure we like him. - I’m also sure we can’t afford him.

Has there been any rumours about Shane yet? I saw the Reading one but not sure I believe it. He’s still down the pecking order with us… Will be interesting to see if anyone makes a move.

Liverpool’s ability to generate cash from players nowhere near their first team amazes me:
-
I don’t disagree, but Spurs tend to sell quite well & it’s Everton who have no morals with cash
-
Could see that happening.

No. On their list, though. Hopefully this rules them out. -

Agree. Economics, right? We can’t make the signings we need without selling he or Ingsey. Was hoping Roma got him. -

Those crazy Spurs loving Danes! Isn't this how it started with Hojbjerg? -
You never know in football, but I just don't see him going. He had a fantastic spell there last time but turned down a permanent move there and wanted to get back into our team. Credit to him, he did that and some argue he's our best keeper. But why move now when he's got a year left on big money and in a year he can assess all his options?

Sign players with nice hair.

Keeping Track of the Contracts 2024-25

Interesting we’ve not heard anything about this by now. I reckon he’s leaving -
Southampton’s Mario Lemina is set to move to Nice after the two clubs agreed a fee of €5.5 million including bonuses for the 27-year-old midfielder. Lemina joined Southampton in 2017 for just over £15 million and went on to play 52 times for the Premier League side. Southampton had hoped to sell the former Juventus player for £8 million this summer, but in the end settled for less, with less than a year remaining on the player’s contract. Was there interest from elsewhere? Lemina had attracted Premier League interest from both Watford and Newcastle but will end his spell at St Mary’s with a switch to Ligue 1. Why are Southampton letting him go? Even though it was always expected he’d leave this summer, Lemina has impressed Ralph Hasenhuttl with his work ethic and commitment during the first two weeks of pre-season. However, he has less than a year remaining on his Southampton contract after joining for over £15 million in August 2017. The central midfielder spent last season on loan at Fulham and would have signed for them permanently had they avoided relegation to the Championship.

Surely he’ll just leave us on a free at the end of his deal?
-
He’s involved with the team, but FF gets an official #UnSellable hashtag from me.

Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina is edging closer to sealing a move to Nice after he arrived in France this evening. It’s understood that the two clubs are extremely close to agreeing a fee for the 27-year-old. Was there interest from elsewhere? Lemina had attracted Premier League interest from both Watford and Newcastle but looks set to end his spell at St Mary’s with a switch to Ligue 1. The Athletic previously reported that Southampton were holding out for a deal, including add-ons, that totals around £8 million. Why are Southampton letting him go? Even though it was always expected he’d leave this summer, Lemina has impressed Ralph Hasenhuttl with his work ethic and commitment during the first two weeks of pre-season. However, he has less than a year remaining on his Southampton contract after joining for over £15m in August 2017. The central midfielder spent last season on loan at Fulham and would have signed for them permanently had they avoided relegation to the Championship. Since joining Southampton from Juventus, Lemina has made 52 appearances for the Premier League club.

Cheers for that. Pelle was a tiny bit like that, I thought.

Still no Ings / Lemina in training.
