  1. Watched it on Sunday... For someone who was Rickie's strike partner in the team of the year, they hardly showed any J-Rod goals... Only other thing I noticed was how effective Snodgrass looked for Leeds throughout the season.

  3. Yes. LOTS. Would love to get a Palace perspective on how he matches up against Victor Moses at his age.
  4. I agree with the poster who said he's got a bit of a reputation, but when he turns it on he's VERY good. There's certainly no shortage of wing talent in the championship with us talking about Zaha / Ince / Phillips / Adomah / Snodgrass in the past. Interesting. My 1st thought was whether it was the chap who'd posted about the Aaron Martin deal long before it was done (but it wasn't him).
  5. Great post Saint-Armstrong. What an amazing 3 years we've had. Seems like a long time ago we were getting spanked 3-0 by Swindon away! Thanks Markus.
  6. Great post Dell Days. Some bloody fantastic goals, and great memories. Criminal when you think of how many England caps he got...
  7. We can officially rule out Kalou now http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11813/7880198/Lille-confirm-Kalou-capture I know there was no chance, but he was mentioned (and hilariously deemed not good enough) more than once.
  8. Not sure whether I feel immensely proud of this link, or terrified.... http://www.sabotagetimes.com/football-sport/chelsea-target-luke-shaw-and-three-other-southampton-youngsters-your-club-should-sign/?
  9. From 2009 http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/blog/2009/feb/17/steve-claridge-albert-adomah-scouting-report From 2011 http://thinkfootball.co.uk/scout-report-albert-adomah/
  10. I'm not sure how I'd feel about us signing a championship player who wasn't in the team of the year... Good player - I remember us being linked AGES ago when Pards was here and Adomah was at Barnet, I believe.
  11. Davis has way more about him than Guthrie, IMO.
  12. Nice job, as usual mate. Good to read that verdict on him. Really pleased with this deal. Sounds like he's a quality player. Worth a mention that Alan Nixon proved his stripes on this deal too. He's patchy at the best of times, but has been right more than most.
  13. Agree, but is quite likely now IMO. We knew we’d need 5 at least (4 down the spine, a right winger) – And that was before we lost Martin on loan and signed a left back.
  14. I'd rather sign him and let him fight for his place here against Kelvin as it should be.
  15. Quality!
  16. Is this what Simon Clifford used to be involved in?

  19. Interesting. The keeper merry-go-round saw Celtic not agree terms with Craig Gordon prior to them concluding the Forster deal...
  20. Just asked a QPR supporting friend about him.... On Mackie, there's no way I can see QPR letting him go. He only signed a contract extension a couple of months ago and came runner up in our player of the year. I think it's a bit of lazy journalism because the full article said that as we bought in Johnson and have Zamora & Cisse... and that Mackie has been pushed down the pecking order... But since he's signed for us, I've never once seen him play upfront. So as I see it, he will still start right midfield ahead of Wright-Phillips. He's one of our best players, I would be devastated if he left... But I wouldn't read too much into it.
  21. Confirmation that Fleck obviously not as good as he is on FM... Coventry have reached an agreement with Rangers to sign attacking midfielder John Fleck. We'll bring you more shortly. (From Sky Sports)
  22. Off to Norwich now...
  23. Simon Peach ‏@SimonPeach #SaintsFC are hopeful of tying up a deal for Vitesse's Alexander Büttner, but I understand talk of Rangers' Steven Davis is wide of the mark
