  1. Interesting piece here http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4555416/How-Thomas-Tuchel-fell-Borussia-Dortmund.html Seems he lost the dressing room, fell out with the CEO and never really bonded with the fans..he did win a lot of games though.
  2. This bit was interesting.. Crystal Palace and West Ham are also said to be interested, but they have less resources to enter the race.
  3. Ha even in a poorest season in years we still weren't that bad. Never even close to relegation this season despite what people said. I saw table based on the form of teams in 2017 and despite being carp we still would have finished 13th.
  4. I would have thought he would have been Les's dream signing cheap (in todays market), young, seemingly talented, easily saleable to Liverpool after a good season in the PL. That seems to be the club plan. Of course it falls down if the big boys just decide to jump in early and cut us out of the deal....
  5. I was taking the **** you muppet..
  6. is that all having watched his video I'd thought he'd be at least £35 million in todays market...
  7. It will be interesting to see who goes considering certain senior squad members have been, allegedly, lets say less than professional. If the club decide to keep Puel they may have to ship out a few players (Fonte already got the bullet) if Tadic, Bertrand and Long go its probably the club backing the manager. I still think Romeu's comment was interesting "We need people with hunger, desire to improve and that will give us the results we need."
  8. Not if he wants to stay in Germany. We'd only be a (slight) draw if he has a burning desire to be in the PL.
  9. sold their best one last summer..
  10. and another name to throw into the hat.... Paul Lambert: Wolves boss leaves Molineux after seven months in charge http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39896630
  11. having a dig at some team mates perhaps.. And now the defensive midfielder has urged Saints to continue to bring in players, like him, "with hunger and desire to improve".
  12. Oriol Romeu: Saints must "accept" yet more summer exits http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/15308960.Romeu__Saints_must__accept__yet_more_summer_exits/?ref=mac
  13. The time for him to move on was last season when his stock was high. Still what sort of **** releases his own press statement as a come and get me plea.
  14. Would be good. I have no issue replacing Puel with someone like Tuchel or Emery just not a monk or Howe. Not convinced either of the former would really be interested in us and if they were we'd be lucky to get two seasons out if them before they ditched us for better...but I'd still want them.
  15. So just so I understand you're happy for millionaire players to not do their job properly, if they are unhappy, rather than act like an adult professional, suck it up, and get on with doing the job you are paid to do? I wish I had a boss like you. I'm sure If I told him I couldn't be arsed at work today because I didn't find him motivating enough he would soon find a replacement for me.
  16. Wasn't just that match several games this season where he looked like he was just going through the motions.
  17. 19 years old and going to get 20K a week to play in the under 23s
  18. Always thought he was a decent keeper at Stoke moving to Chelsea as the reserve was good for his bank balance I guess ....Will Boruc being going to another meltdown I wonder
  19. Cattle with whips? So Claude was some sort of slave driver forcing the players to do awful things? Yet most people are saying Puel was to soft on them. You make a big song and dance about getting entertainment for your hard earned cash but your happy for the people who get most of that cash to entertain you to slack off if some one hurts their feelings?
  20. Except they aren't naughty school kids they are highly paid adult professionals doing lots of peoples dream job and should know better.
  21. I think Les knows it's better to be the one holding the lead rather than being the dog.
  22. Puel may well go but I wouldn't be surprised if the players involved get moved out to. It makes no footballing sense to get rid of Bertrand but if he has been a problem in the dressing room I wouldn't be surprised if Les gets rid of him. Looks more than likely why Fonte was moved on.
  23. As we are Southampton and do it "our way" maybe we should try a different approach. Some or the senior players were unhappy and felt they knew better than the manager this season so why not promote a couple of them to player managers to show what they can do......I'm thinking of a Tadic/Bertrand dream team here leading us to PL and cup glory next season. Save a few quid for the club to. The club could market it as the players taking "ownership of their work"
  24. You want him? Or is this ITK knowledge?
