  1. Like for like they didn't/don't have players as good as ours. When one of the big clubs comes calling they fold just like everyone else. They lost Bony in the middle of the season as soon as Man City came calling.
  2. Can't help feeling that was the plan. I think maybe Morgan (and the club) had expected a bit more interest if I'm honest.
  3. Man Utd are the ones dragging their feet they know our valuation and everyone knows they can afford him if they are serious. I did read a couple of articles, the other week, one saying Morgan wasn't really man u first choice (more of a back up option) and another article where Morgan had told friends he really wanted to go to Arsenal but would go to Man U as a back up option.....sounds like a match made in heaven. Rather we just got him sold now (for the right price) and used the money to bring in two or three good new players.
  4. Does you job involve 40,000+ rather biased fans who end up giving you a degree of hero worship though? Can't really compare normal life to football plenty of football fans (of every club) become irrational where their football club is concerned. Rightly or wrongly they want players to care and be emotionally involved as they, as fans, are. The players love to play along in interviews to which only makes it seem worse when they **** off. Football fans in general seem to be irrational and hypocritical* (just listen to a talksport phone in) but hey it's part of the fun. * not any posters on here of course we are perfectly level headed and rational types:)
  5. Maybe we should be flattered that spurs clearly want to be the next Southampton
  6. Ok how would you handled Clyne this season when he wouldn't sign a new contract? what would you have done about Lovern last summer? Lets here how you'd run a football club.
  7. What do you suggest the club do about it? It's just the way things work in football.
  8. How can anyone get upset by Morgan leaving we all know he is gone? As long as we get good money to get a replacement or two can't see the issue.
  9. Bugger oh well move on hopefully we can get Morgan out the door for a nice big wedge and get on with building the team for next season. After last summer I've got used to players ****ing off hell this one wasn't even ours. I assume we are still getting our money from Madrid?
  10. Human error from (possibly) one employee happens every where I've ever worked...doesn't make the entire orginaziton poor.
  11. So it's official then?
  12. You're not suggesting that when the esteemed British Media say "our sources believe" they've just nicked some random tweet of the net and made an article out of it are you.....I'm shocked, shocked I say
  13. Considering how quickly photos of Clyne's Medical appeared all over the internet I'm pretty sure someone would have snapped a picture of Toby having a medical in London today if it had happened.
  14. The Guardian being trumped by Toby's dad, this afternoon, saying no deals have been reached with anyone.
  15. I'm sure this is high on the priority list of most high earning footballers when choosing a club....
  16. But didn't his Dad/agent tweet that no deals had been even close like three hours ago?
  17. Haven't we risen every season since the take over what constitutes a rise then? The rise will come to an end but we have clearly been on the rise for the last few seasons.
  18. I don't think the whole court case thing helped disrupted things just when he need to be focused to step up a level in the championship. Always thought he was good enough to push on more than he has since he left us. I guess sitting on his contract with us and not playing regularly through what should have been his best years had an effect but in hindsight the way his career has gone wringing every penny out of his saints contract was probably sensible. Always liked the bloke though that goal against the MK Dons will live long in the memory.
  19. being the main word there....
  20. I see Lee Barnard is trailing with Crawley Town. Being at saints really was the high point of his career wasn't it?
  21. Source...
  22. I think he was quoting a comment during last summer from a well known poster on here ....probably should have put a smiley on the end
