This is what I dispute....name some high profile transfers which have happened so far this window which could have been described as "easy". Of course it's always a possibility until a player signs but ultimately, I don't think it's worth worrying about. The player wants to come here, his agent wants him to come here and we clearly want him. Resorting to paying over the odds for a player or paying within a structure which isn't considered the norm would only come from a club desperate for the player and as we're the only ones in at this stage, doesn't seem like anyone else is that desperate for him.

No one is writting it off, saying that it's unlikely and we are still in the strongest position.

No and you know that's not what I'm saying although not many transfers are quick and easy. Regarding this specific deal, there are multiple complexities for any club to work through, therefore unlikely that a club can turn this around within a couple of days unless their approach is just to chuck lots of cash at it.

And the rest? From Monday there are only 3 days for Bologna to do the deal. Given how they gave acted with us, doubtful they are suddenly going to negotiate another deal with someone else nice and quickly.....unless of course as you suggest, someone is willing to throw over the odds cash to all parties. In which case, they are welcome to him.

Explain why it would be so easy for a another club to agree price, terms of payment, resolve third party arrangement, agent fee's, player contract, image rights etc etc within a week despite being around 2 weeks behind us?

You've changed your tune......earlier in this thread you were saying there is nothing to negotiate as we just need to pay Bologna what they want. But I guess CB Fry hadn't offered his opinion at the time so you couldn't have possbily know what to think all by yourself.
